Chapter Ten

TONY

Mike and I had checked out of the hotel as soon as we could because we wanted to be back in San Diego with our little girl. Mike was beyond angry at his older brother for hitting our daughter, I was also mad at him but I wasn't known for confrontation. I didn't want to even think how Mike would react upon seeing Vic, I just knew he wasn't going to do anything in front of Lily.

I'd been dropped off at mine and Jaime's apartment by Mike who had sped straight off to his and Vic's. I wanted to see Lily so badly that I all but ran into the apartment dropping my suitcase quite loudly by the front door. On Skype all we really saw was the ice pack Jaime had given her, I hoped her face didn't bruise that badly.

Opening my bedroom door I find the room empty then assume Lily had slept with Jaime for comfort after the ordeal. Sneaking into Jaime's room I'm proved right, Jaime lies on one side of the bed with no covers while Lily claims the other half and has all the covers to keep her and her plushies warm.

Crouching down by her side of the bed I awe at her small snores before brushing away some hair off her cheek so I could see the damage. I flinch upon seeing a rather big bruise, probably made to look bigger because she had a small head.

Lily' eyes flutter open, "daddy is that you?"

I smile at her sleepy voice, "yes it's me panda."

Lily yawns and sits up before throwing her arms around my neck suddenly very wide awake.

"You came home daddy, where's dad?"

I frown, how could I tell her that her dad was most likely beating up his brother. Luckily Jaime sighs loudly and rolls over in the bed meeting my eye and pats Lily on the shoulder.

"He'll be here soon Lily, thanks for stealing the covers by the way."

Lily giggles and let's go of my neck before throwing herself on top of Jaime who picks her up and starts to throw her in the air, making me worry he was going to drop her because he wasn't usually this awake at such an early time.

"Be careful with her Jaime."

Jaime laughs, "chill your beans turtle. Why don't you make us all breakfast now you're back? Lily would you like your daddy to make us breakfast?"

He puts Lily down on top of his chest and she looks over at me and grins, it looks like I was making breakfast for everyone. Throwing my arms in the air I stand back up and leave the room.

~30 Minutes Later~

"Do you like your pancakes Lily?"

Lily nods her head as she continues to stuff her face with my pancakes like they were going out of fashion. I never knew someone so small could pack away so much food, she was rivalling Jaime and Jaime could eat like there was no tomorrow.

I put another pancake on both hers and Jaime's plate just as the front door opens and Mike walks in slamming the door behind him. Lily looks up from her plate and her eyes widen.

"Dad!" she squeals.

She gets off the stool with Jaime's help and all but runs at Mike who crouches down to pick her up. He spins her around and puts her on his hip, all the anger leaving his face as he kisses her bruised cheek.

"Hello, panda I missed you so much. Dads kiss will make your face feel better. Did you miss me?"

"I missed both of you, Jaime took me to the zoo and I saw all the animals."

Mike chuckles and carries Lily back over to the kitchen and sits down on her vacated stool keeping her on his lap.

"What do you say to Jaime?"

"Thank you, Jaime."

Jaime leans over and ruffles her hair. I try to catch Mike's eye, wanting to know how it went with Vic. Jaime takes the hint and clears his throat.

"Lily do you want to watch cartoons with me?"

Lily nods and Jaime takes her off Mike and carries her into the lounge leaving Mike and me alone in the kitchen. I make a few more pancakes and put them in front of Mike.

"What happened with Vic?"

Mike scowls, "I don't care how sorry he says he is Tony, he should have known better than to lay a finger on an innocent and vulnerable child. He didn't even let her explain she was out with Jaime, he snapped Tony and that's unforgivable."

I watch Mike tuck into the pancakes and lean against the counter, "Is it bad that I don't want Lily back in that house Mike? Even if one of us is there, I don't trust Danielle or Summer."

Mike looks up and sighs, "maybe Lily should stay here with you Tony."

"No, if Lily comes then you come as well Mike."

I'd never sounded so sure of something in my life, the three of us were a family and family needed to stay together at all costs. Mike puts down his fork and motions with his finger for me to come closer.

"Never knew you wanted me that bad turtle. God, you're hot when you're worked up."

I walk into his open arms and he smashes his lips down on mine roughly, his tongue staking a claim in my mouth. I kiss him back but let him lead because he wasn't in the mood to be tested.

"You're lucky it's me walking in and not your daughter guys, seriously save it for the bedroom."

Jaime's voice breaks up the short kiss and Mike flips him off. I back away kind of flushed and set about cleaning up the breakfast plates.

"Is it cool if Lily and I crash here until Tony and I find our own place, Jaime?"

Even though I was at the sink and had my back to them I could sense Jaime's face lighting up.

"If it means I get to spend more time with Lily. I'm guessing it didn't go too well with Vic?"

Mike sighs, "Pierce The Veil are still a band, but it will take a lot for me or Tony to forgive him. And I know Lily won't want to be around him anytime soon."

Hopefully, things would work themselves out because we were meant to be going on tour with Sleeping With Sirens and All Time Low in a couple of months, and we didn't need the tour bus being awkward since we'd be bringing Lily along.

"Daddy, will you play with me?"

I look down to see Lily tugging on my jeans. Mike and Jaime were deep in conversation so I dry off my hands and crouch down to her height making her laugh.

"What do you want to play panda?"

She scratches her chin, "I don't know, I didn't think that far ahead."

I chuckle, she was most definitely mine and Mike's daughter. Then a game comes to mind and I reach out my hands and start tickling her.

"How about you run away from the tickle monster?"

Lily squeals and legs it from the kitchen, I get up and start chasing her around the apartment surprised at how fast and nimble she was for her age. This is what I'd missed while Mike and I were away, it was great having alone time together but playing with Lily reminded me that our two was now a three.
