Chapter Sixteen

2 HOURS LATER

TONY

The bus was quiet, a little too quiet. After getting back on the bus Danielle said Lily was tired so she'd put her in her bunk. Getting up off the sofa I head into the bunks and crouch down in front of my daughter's bunk.

"Wake up sleepy panda."

I smile, pull back the curtain only to be met by an empty bunk. Where was Lily? Maybe she was hiding somewhere.

"Come out Lily."

Getting no response I check all of the bunks, the back lounge and the bathroom not finding a single trace of Lily.

"Are you okay Tony?"

Jaime stops me as I dash out of the bathroom. I shake my head.

"Have you seen Lily since we came back to the bus?"

"Danielle put her in her bunk. I didn't think I'd ever say this but maybe Danielle's grown a heart."

I continue to shake my head, "have you physically seen here Jaime? Lily's not in her bunk and I've looked everywhere for her."

Jaime's smile fades, "I'll help you check for her again, you know she's going through that hiding phase, Tony. We'll find her."

The two of us turn the bus upside down but still Lily was nowhere to be found.

"What are you two doing?"

Mike wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me onto his lap on the sofa. I squirm out of his grip, how could he be so calm?

"Our daughters missing Mike, how can you be so fucking calm? Lily's not on the bus!"

"WHAT?"

Mike jumps off the sofa and runs into the bunk area. Across from us a concerned Vic and a rather smug looking Danielle and Summer stare at me. My blood boils, they had done something to Lily.

"What did you do Danielle? You carried her back to the bus and said you put her in her bunk."

"Back off Tony, I'm sure there's an explanation. Right babe?"

I wanted to hit Vic for defending the lying bitch. Danielle fakes empathy and emotion.

"I swear I put her in the bunk Tony. Why would I hurt an innocent child? Maybe she walked back off the bus when our backs were turned, it wouldn't be the first time."

"See Tone Danielle did nothing wrong."

Vic hugs Danielle while I slump back on the sofa defeated. Where was Lily? Just then Mike and Jaime run back into the front lounge.

"We need to turn the bus around and get to the hospital. Sleeping With Sirens and All Time Low have been blowing up our phones while they were on charge. Lily was attacked by fans at the venue."

I gasp, "our poor little girl Mike."

Jaime goes to talk to the bus driver while Mike sits down next to me and pulls me into his comforting embrace. He holds me and I cry against his shoulder, a million bad thoughts going through my head.

"She's a fighter turtle, we'll get to the bottom of this."

~Hospital~

"Hi, we're looking for Lily Perry Fuentes, she was admitted here and we're her parents."

The nurse behind the counter starts typing away at her computer.

"Ah yes, the poor little girl is out of surgery. She's on the kid's ward in room 32."
