1 WEEK LATER

MIKE

Today Lily was being let out of the hospital. Tony and I had stayed by her side day and night reassuring her she wasn't alone. She still had to wear a wrist cast and the eye patch, and we were trying our hardest to tell her it was okay to be the way she was because of all her insecurities.

Pierce The Veil had postponed touring with the whole Lily/Summer/Danielle situation. During this past week, the venue had released CCTV footage showing Danielle and Summer abandoning Lily when they kept trying to play the innocent card. Vic had stood by his family's innocence until the truth came to light, and now he was on the fence. To protect Lily's well-being a restraining order had been slapped on Danielle and Summer meaning they were forced to leave the tour.

"Dad, can we get ice cream pretty please?"

Lily tugs on my shirt grabbing my attention. I didn't want to spoil the surprise that was waiting for back at the bus.

"You can have ice cream on the bus panda."

Lily pouts but rests her head against my chest as Tony meets my eye in the rearview mirror and smiles.

LILY

We pull up to the bus and Mike carries me out of the car. They assured me that Danielle and Summer had been sent packing so I was now safe. It was good to be out of the hospital, the eye patch sucked but I had a rainbow wrist cast which looked pretty cool.

"WELCOME HOME LILY!"

I jump as soon as the bus door opens and All Time Low, Sleeping With Sirens, Jaime and Vic pop out. They were throwing me a surprise party.

"Surprise Lily."

Tony tickles my side making sure to avoid my ribs. Mike puts me down on my feet for the first time and I notice everyone was wearing an eye patch to match mine.

"Thank you, dad, but you promised me there would be ice cream."

Everyone starts laughing when I was being serious. Ice cream was no laughing matter.

~30 Minutes Later~

Carrying my bowl of chocolate ice cream away from the front lounge where the party was in full swing, I head into the quieter back lounge where I'm surprised to see Vic sitting alone.

"Hey, Uncle Vic."

He smiles weakly, "Hey little Lily. Sorry, I'm not in the party mood but I'm happy you're out of the hospital."

As much as I didn't like Danielle and Summer, Vic was stuck in the middle and I kind of felt bad for him because he was taking the brunt of everyone's cold shoulder which I didn't think was very fair.

"I don't blame you, Vic. It's not your fault and I still love you very much with all my heart."

I clamber onto the sofa next to him making sure not to spill my ice cream.

"I'm really sorry for what they did Lily, I didn't know they'd go that far."

Shaking my head I lie down so that my head was now on his lap.

"People act oddly all the time. Would you like some ice cream? I don't normally share my ice cream but ice cream makes everyone feel better Vic."

He chuckles, "You're a strange kid Lily. Everyone else hates me for defending my family."

I snort, "family means a lot to dad and daddy and they are simply defending me. But I still like you Vic so that's all that should matter to you."

He sighs and takes the bowl I was offering and starts to eat the ice cream. I snuggle against him happy to have one of my favourite uncles back. He meant a lot to dad and daddy even if they weren't showing it right now.

"Are you two coming back to the party? We're going to play UNO."

Jaime pops his head around the door. I sit up and Vic gets off the sofa.

"I guess but everyone still hates me, Jaime. Maybe I should just stay in my bunk until everyone leaves."

Jaime bites his lip, "they don't hate you, Vic, Mike and Tony just don't know how to act around you. Everyone else is following their lead because you're not exactly doing anything to interact with them either."

Taking Vic's hand in my good one I squeeze it tightly.

"They'll have to fight me, Vic."

Both Vic and Jaime laugh, "she's feisty. Definitely more of a Mike influence than a Tony influence."

Yes, I could be vocal like dad, but sometimes I could be quiet like Daddy. It was the best of both worlds for me, now I'd never played UNO but had heard of it from the older kids. Apparently, it ends friendships which wasn't something we needed any more of on this tour.
