Goodnight

Swallowing pill after pill

Choking on them whole

Swallow till I'm ill

As I fill up my bowl

-

The bitterness spreading

From my beautiful sin

My neck starts sweating

And I start to grin

-

I write my letter

So my friends don't fret

To make them feel better

Don't need them paying my debts

-

Tell them 'cancel the pact'

So they don't pay for what I've done

I swallow my last stack

And take one last look at the sun

-

But the sun's not there

I chuckle at the irony

I guess it's only fair

Darkness is all I deserve to see

-

I love you all

Just want you to know

This is my last fall

Now it's time for me to go

-

You didn't do me wrong

My life's a coin toss

Although it wasn't very long

I'm sorry for your loss

-

For the last time

I tell you this rhyme

As I shut off the lights

I say my goodnights

-
