Two months later....Sylvia had been acting weird lately. She acted out in class, threw tantrums, got in fights, and isolated herself. One day when I was washing and putting away dishes in the break room at work, I got a call from Sylvia's school. I told Boden about the call and that I had to sign out for the day, then I drove to the school. I arrived, parked, and walked into the school. I told the receptionist who I was and why I was there and she led me to the principal's office. I thanked the receptionist while I observed. The principal was at his desk, Sylvia sat in one chair while the school psychiatrist sat in the other right beside her. I closed the door and sat down on the other side of Sylvia. I looked at her, she had cuts and bruises and her hair was messed up. The first question that popped out of my mouth was, "What happened here?" The principal explained what happened then said, "I've already called emergency services, Mrs. Borrelli. There's something wrong with her." "What?! What was the reason? Was that necessary? She's not a bad child! I know something's wrong with her. She's been acting strange lately, yes....acting out and fighting? Yes...but.." I replied, confused, worried, and angry. I then realized why the principal called the emergency services when I looked at Sylvia...she started having an epileptic seizure. I caught her just in time, and right when Gabby and Jimmy arrived. I stepped back when Gabby and Jimmy started treating her then lifting her onto the gurney. Jimmy and I looked at each other, worried...tears running down our faces. I thanked the principal then followed them out. I spotted Hermann and Otis. I walked over to them...in a state of shock. "How could I not have known?" I told them, "that my own child was showing symptoms of....of a seizure or something worse? What if that seizure isn't the only thing?" I broke down in tears and Hermann hugged and assured me, "She will be okay. It just takes time...and prayer. And you guys' baby will have all the chances in the world to meet their sister." I thanked Hermann and wiped my tears. "I'd better get going to the hospital. I need to see her." I said. "Be careful." Otis told me. I nodded then walked to my car.

An hour later, I arrived at Med, parked and locked my car, and walked in. Jimmy was in the waiting room. We hugged and walked to Sylvia's room...Halstead greeted us. "Sylvia? It's Mama. Can you hear me?" I quietly asked her. She woke up at the sound of my voice and said, "Hi Mama." I gripped Jimmy's hand, holding back tears. "How are you feeling, baby?" I asked. "I'm okay...but Halstead tested and diagnosed me with epilepsy and slight autism." She replied, then bursting into tears...which caused Jimmy and I to burst into tears...we were worried about her altogether. After a moment of tears, we briefly talked about her treatments. Sylvia would have to take anti anxiety medication and medication to control her seizures. One nightmare we feared would come true...came true, one of our children gets sick. But we would treat her and help her reach her dream of becoming a paramedic.
