Part 1 - New Beginings

"Kevin, why are we here?" I asked my best friend as he pulled up to the night club.
"We are here because you are in desperate need of a good time" He winked and opened the car door.

"I'm not really in a party mood..."

"Betty, I love you but it's been three weeks since the breakup. You need to move on with your life."

Three weeks ago I found out the love of my life Archie Andrews was cheating on me with none other than his music teacher. By far, one of the worst days of my life. We were finally together and happy, then he had to go have sex with some cougar.

"You know what? You're right. Let's have some fun!" I said finally agreeing with Kevin.

We both entered the doors of the club and we were greeted by the sound of the pounding bass and boat loads of people.

"I haven't been in here in ages" I said thinking back to the last time I was here.

It was right after my sister, Polly passed away. She overdosed one day when she was in the Mental Health Hospital. Its been hard without her, but I'm slowly getting better.

Kevin broke my thoughts by pulling me to the dance floor. I started to just get lost in the music, as I chugged down shots. My body moved to the beat, I wasn't thinking about my surroundings and I toppled into someone. The person caught me before I fell to the ground.

"Not your scene, hm?" A beautiful dark eyed woman said to me with a kind smile. She had thick, tapered eyebrows and full lips.

"Uhhhh not really" I slurred. Let's just say I was pretty wasted at this point.

The girl chuckled.

"What's so funny?" I asked.

"You" she replied her eyes staring into mine.

I just giggled.

"You should probably get home" she warned.

"But I'm having funnn" I argued.

She shrugged "If you say so"

She grabbed my hand and pulled me back to the dance floor. She put her arms around my waist and I laid my arms on her shoulders. Our bodies moved in sync as the music blared.

After hours of dancing and drinking, I was over.

"I think I need um a water" I declared.

"I think that's a good idea" The brown eyed girl answered.

We walked over to the bar.

"One bottle of water" She said to the cashier.

"I-I can pay" I stuttered.

"It's fine, it's only a few dollars" she smiled.

I nodded.

"Thaaaaanks" I said gratefully as she handed me the water.

"You're quite the dancer" She told me.

"Me? You're like way better" I replied.

She laughed.

"Are you new here? I haven't seen you around town" I asked.

"Yeah my mom and I just moved here from New York" she said.

"Wow, that's uh a change. Riverdale is a pretty small town"

"I've noticed, but I think I'll like it here" she chuckled and leaned in.

I leaned in as well, and she put her lips on mine. I quickly disconnected the kiss.

"I-I, sorry I'm uh straight" I said.

She scoffed "you sure about that?"

"I am. Excuse me I have to find my friend."

I ran off into the crowd to search for Kevin. I found him making out with some guy.

"Kev, let's go" I said tugging on his t-shirt.

"Okaaay" he sighed.

"Are you sober enough to drive?" I asked him.

"I think" he shrugged.

I rolled my eyes and we walked out to the car and drove home.

Kevin dropped me off at my house, and I quietly snuck in through the back window, and lay on my bed.

I couldn't get that girl out of my head. Her smile, her voice, her eyes. She was so, pleasing to the eye. I've never felt this way before.

I think I just need some rest.

And with that I drifted off into a deep sleep.

The next day :

"So did you have fun last night?" Kevin asked me as we walked through the halls.

"I had an amazing time" I replied.

"That means she met someone" My friend Valerie added.

"Oh my god, did you ?!?" Kevin exclaimed.

"Maybeee" I said dragging the E.

"What was he like?" Valerie asked.

"Um-"

"I thought I heard your voice" A familiar voice said.

I turned around to see the same dark brown eyed girl from the previous night.
