Chapter 1: Welcome to the Underground

The rain was louder than usual on this day as it was downpouring pretty hard. I walked down the stairs until I came to the big electronic metal door. I entered in the passcode for the door and it opened. This was the base of operations for the detective agency I was hired by. They had a secret bureau which is why not many people know about this group. Its just a small group of detectives that work for the police. Their Head Director is Ryoma Yukisura, the same man who hired me to protect his 10 year old daughter, Rin Yukisura. Apperantly Ryoma has another daughter too named Suki Yukisura. I should probably explain a little about them. Ryoma is 36 years old and has dark green eyes and brown hair. Ive only seen him wear suits ever since I met him over a week ago. From the photo I saw of his daughters, Rin is 10 years old and actually goes to that Elementary School that is associated with Hope's Peak. She is the Lil' Ultimate Actress. She has eyes like Ryoma and black hair. Suki is only a bit different. She's 17 like me and has the same eyes as Ryoma but same hair as Rin. Ryoma claims that she too is an Ultimate but he wouldnt say what. Whatever it was, Ryoma didn't like her talent. As I continued walking down the hallway, I looked around. For an underground base it was pretty large. It had many offices, bathrooms, an infirmary and a cafeteria. Theres a sign in sheet at the front desk where people have to sign in and so far it looked like 13 people were here. And one of those people were sitting at the desk where the sign in sheet was.

"Welcome, Mr. Raijin. Mr. Yukisura is in his office at the far end of the base." She was Lily Hana, 29. She was the Secretary here. She had bright blue eyes and blonde hair. She wore a light brown suit with white heels and a dark green tie.

"Thank you." I said to her as I walked into the main room where everyone usually would be having conversations and planning. Rooms to many offices branched off in this room. In fact, I notice that some people weren't detectives. I decided to go see who they were.

"Excuse me. May I ask who you people are? You dont look like you exactly work here." Apperantly they all were related to some of the detectives one way or another. First up was a girl that looked exactly like Lily. Her name was Jasmine Hana, 29. She was Lily's twin. She didnt say much after that. Next up was a girl with light green eyes and blue hair. Her name was Erika Shiki, 22. She was dating one of the detectives here. Since Ryoma gave me a list of all the detectives I knew the information of all of them. She was the girlfriend of Cain Shifu, 23. Cain is an intresting one. He was a theif back in the day but now works for Ryoma. He thought Cain would be good help for solving theft crimes.

"Do you possibly know where Cain is?" I asked Erika "I think he's in the prisoner hold watching someone who's gonna be getting transfered soon." Erika explained.

I thanked her and headed there where I would see Cain and two other people. One standing with Cain and the other in the cell. Cain had dark red eyes and red hair so its hard to miss him which is surprising since he was once a theif. The man next to him was another detective that was on the list Ryoma gave me. It was Ryoma's partner Ryo Kumaro, 35. He had brown hair and was bald. He always wears black suits according to Ryoma.

"Hello. Im Azura Raijin. Im here to help Ryoma with his case." I explained. "...Who's he?" I looked at the man in the cell. He gave a light chuckle and the first thing I saw was yellow eyes that pierced through the shadows of his cell. His jet black hair was hard to see in his cell.

"I am Yashiro Yamato." He grins. I have heard of him. He was a murderer who's hasn't been caught until very recently. All of his victims have been married woman. Ryoma probably took the case because his wife was murdered by someone a long time ago after Rin was born. It was surprisingly amusing to see a large criminal be put in a small cage. He was shockingly young, being only 20 years old. I left the three and continued making my way to Ryoma's office. It was on my way there where I would meet the last 4 people I have yet to see. I noticed all of them immediately. 3 boys and 1 girl who was currently wrapping up one of the boys arm up in bandages. The girl was Amani Eruma, 24. She was the nurse who took care of anyone who got hurt. She was almost as good as the Ultimate Nurse. She has blue eyes and light pink hair that matched her pink nurse attire. The boy she was treating was one of the best crime scene analyzers I have ever met. Hiro Sotaru, 30. His hazel eyes never miss anything at a crime scene and has solved many mysteries. I would love to learn his secrets on how he managed to be so good at analysis. He had short ginger hair as well. The last 2 were both also very special detectives. The one with the glasses, brown eyes and black hair was Yushimoto Megane, 24. He was amazing on a computer but besides that its really the only skill he had. The last person was Ishi Setsuama. Not only did he have purple eyes to go with his black hair but he was one of the youngest detectives on the force at an age of 19.

"What happened to him?" I asked the nurse, Amani. In a nervous and shaky voice "A-ah! W-Well you see... He... Uhm..." She was shy. "I accidentally let my guard down and got sliced in the arm. Nothing too bad, luckily." Hiro said. "Ah. I hope you recover soon." I smiled softlt at Hiro and continued on my way. Suddenly I was stopped though by Ishi.

"Hey. Are you that Ultimate guy?" He asked. I nodded "Yes. I am Azura Raijin, Ultimate Guardian." He grins "That's so cool! Hey, would it be okay if I walked with you? I'd love to know more about you." I should be heading to Ryoma's office but... a small talk never killed anyone. Ishi and I walked around and talked about the different cases we each took. He showed me all the rooms this place had. It was bigger than I originally thought. "Hey. Thanks for showing me around." I smiled. "No problem, my Ultimate Friend!" He chuckles lightly. "If you want to know anything about anyone, I'm the man to ask." That made me think "Actually... what do you know about Ryoma's daughters?" I arched an eyebrow. They were the only two I didnt know much about and one of them was the person I had to protect. "Oh. Rin and Suki? Rin is adorable. She's an amazing actress and has been in many tv shows. She has a weird love for glitter though. She can be very childish." So that was who I am supposed to protect. Hopefully she doesnt give me trouble while I protect her and also try to find who wants to hurt her. "And Suki... well... About her. She's a massive flirt. Ryoma doesnt want many people to know her talent but... she's the Ultimate Seductress. She can make almost anyone fall for her. Something odd about her though is that she always has a lollipop in her mouth. Like always. I have never seen her without one." Ishi scratches the back of his head "Anything else you wanna know?" I made a mental note on Suki. The Ultimate Seductress? That makes sense why Ryoma looked upset when mentioning her talent. "Since I'm asking about the Yukisura family... What do you know of Ryoma?" I asked with a bit of hesitation in my voice. "The boss? Well Ryo-" What happened next could be heard throughout the whole underground base. Two shrieks of terror. Next thing I knew Ishi and I were running to the source of the scream. We saw everyone else already there. The source of the scream was an office. The two screams came from... Rin and Suki. What I saw next was a sight I wouldnt forget. Accompanied by the cries of the two girls... was blood. I soon realized what office this was. It was Ryoma's office. And hanging on the wall with the support of knives dug into his body... was the corpse of Ryoma Yukisura.
