Chapter 3: Falling Apart

It took awhile before everyone gathered around Lily's dead body. Jasmine didn't take it well at all. She screamed and ran away after seeing her twin sister dead. Erika and Cain went after her to calm her down and comfort her. I had Ishi take Rin and Suki somewhere else. Now it was me, Hiro, Ryo, Amani, Yushimoto, and Yashiro in the bathroom looking at Lily's corpse.

"Before people start accusing me, Azura knows I have an alibi if what he said was true." Yashiro stares at me "Possibly... Don't know if you were really asleep." I replied "So we can still suspect him?" Ryo was about ready to attack Yashiro. I thought for a moment.

I eventually sighed "It can't be him. He only kills married women. Lily wasn't married." I look at him. I hated admitting it but because of who Yashiro is, it's impossible to blame him for the murders. First Ryoma, now Lily. "Yashiro. You're a psychopath. Do you possibly have any idea what's going on?" I asked him "Nope. In fact it's really odd. I don't see a pattern in the murders. Ryoma was the head of this agency. I'd think they'd next kill the next one in charge." He smiles at Ryo. "So the murders are random." I sigh

"Well..." Amani spoke up. She was making sure the cause of death was in fact by drowning. "I've seen Ryoma and Lily getting reallly close lately. I think they were dating possibly." She looked down at Lily. "Would the pattern be the most closest to Ryoma? If so then... Suki or Rin would be next!" I turned around

"I'm doing my job. I'm trusting you guys to investigate more." I told Hiro, Ryo, Amani and Yushimoto. I started heading out but Yushimoto caught up to me "U-uhm... May if I tag along?" He fixed his glasses. His laptop was still working. We entered the room Rin, Suki, and Ishi were in.

"Wait... can you contact outside?!" I looked at him. He quickly shook his head "This laptop isnt normal. It's for camera feed and everything else electronic in the building. I've been trying to restore power or hack into the door to open it." He sighs. Ishi spoke up next

"Any luck with that?" Then it was Suki "If he did I think we'd be out of here by now." She sighs and holds Rin close to her, comforting her. I looked at Suki. I could see through her. She wasnt handling this well. She acted like she had it under control but... she was scared. She lost her Dad. And if she knew about Lily's relationship with Ryoma... it must be like losing a 2nd mother.

"Suki..." I look down. She looks at me "Can I talk to you? In private?" I nodded "Ishi? Look after Rin alright?" He nodded and I followed Suki outside the room.

Once we were alone she suddenly hugged me and dig her face into my shirt where she began crying softly. She knew that I knew how she was truly feeling. I didn't really know how to react to something like this. We were the same age yet handling the situation very differently. This isnt my first time seeing dead bodies. Hell, I have killed people because of my job. I did what anyone else would do and comforted her with a hug

"Look... Im not gonna lie. This isn't fine and it sucks. A lot. But listen. I'm not gonna let you or Rin die." I decided to stay quiet about one of them being next to die. That would make Suki panic. "I'm gonna find the killer. Okay?" I looked down at her "So... stop crying. Youre getting your makeup and stuff on my shirt." I smiled softly in an attempt to lighten her mood up like how Hiro did the same with me. She looks up at me and smiles, wiping her tears

"You're a sweet kid, Az." She lets go of me "Sorry... I needed to let that out." She leans against the wall. "Please... protect Rin... I don't care if I die but... It's nice knowing someone is looking after me in this hell..." She takes the lollipop out of her mouth "Heh... for being such a sweet kid you can have this." She suddenly puts the lollipop in my mouth. "Maybe... you can have something else another time if we live." She winks and starts heading back to the room where Rin was.

I was shocked and froze up. This was new. What just happened?! I took the lollipop out of my mouth and threw it away immediately. Did she just use her talent? I was about to go after her and confront of her on how she shouldn't flirt in a situation like this but then... my body fell over. That's when I realized that the gas has appeared again. Our hour was up. And I fell asleep.

The next thing I would see is an arm from around the corner. I got up to see who fell asleep nearby me but... I was in for a surprise. The arm wasn't attached to a body. In fact, it was just an arm. "What..." Then I heard a scream. I would run to the source and find Ishi staring at another arm and a leg.

"What the fuck!" Ishi looked like he was gonna puke. I ran off to find the body. Who's limbs were cut off?! Then I saw the missing leg outside of Cain's office. I took a deep breath and bursted through the office door and stopped dead in my tracks. There in front of me was the head and body of who was killed. The body had the head cut off.

Yushimoto had been dismembered. But that wasn't all. Sitting in the corner of the room was Suki and Rin. They were alive but Suki was shaking... and her hands were covered in blood with a butcher's knife next to her. Rin was crying and hugging Suki. I noticed Rin was more terrified than usual. Suki looked at me and just mutteres "I-I had to kill him..."
