Chapter.22

Karen and I got over the whole being rude thing. In the end we had a great day. Karen left at 5 its now 7. Richie and I are just on the couch watching tv.
"Did you have fun"? I asked while smiling.
"Yeah I guess". He rolled his eyes but I could tell he had fun 😏.
"Liar, you had a great time" . I teased him.
"Why are you sitting at the end of the couch"? He looked at me in the eyes now. I was sitting at the end of the couch.
"I don't know". I know why. I still feel like he thinks I'm annoying, and stupid especially considering the zip line issue.
"Well do you want to come sit closer to me"? He smiled and patted the spot next to him. Honestly I didn't but whatever.
"Sure". I sat closer to him.
"Are you ok"? He looked confused.
"Yeah why"? If I say something we'll have another fight, I have a headache I don't need a fight.
"Do you still think that I think your annoying"? Ok, is he a mind reader? How did he know?
"Maybe". I mumbled.
"I told you a million times I don't think that". I'm surprised he didn't yell.
"I know, but I still feel like you do". Ugh my headache is worse.
"What do I have to do, to prove to you that I don't think that"?
"I don't know". Ugh.
"Then why do you think it if you don't know"? He sounded more confused.
"I don't know". I sound stupid.
"Ok, well there is one thing that I think you think about me". Oh lord.
"What"?
"I think that you think I'm rude and just annoying to have around". He sounded serious.
"What"?!
"Well do you"?
"No"!
"I don't believe you".
"Why would I date you if I thought that"?!
"Exactly!! See how weird it is"! Seriously.
"Richie why would you do that"?
"To show you how it feels".
"It didn't feel nice". I grunted.
"Yeah, no kidding".
"Right here is proving my point that you think I'm annoying".
"Ok, what do I have to do? Scream it at a top of a building"?
"Yes". I laughed a little.
"I'm glad I can see that smile again". We were looking at each other.
"Ok, let's drop the fight and move on"! I said. He got up and started cheering and jumping. Then he yanked me up and spun me around. I was laughing.
"Finally"!! He shouted.
"Your so weird". I was still laughing. We were dancing. Then he spun me around again.
"Your the guy for me"! A girl on the tv shouted.
"How did she know what I was thinking". I said while laughing.
"Want some food"? He asked staring at the kitchen.
"Yeah sure". We walked to the kitchen. Then he got a popcorn bag and put it in the microwave.
"Can you believe all this happened in 5 days"? He asked. Smiling.
"Oh my god for real"? I was amazed.
"I know right"! The microwave made a beep sound and our popcorn was done.
"Yes food"! He put the popcorn in a bowl. I looked out the kitchen window and saw a black figure, I looked away then back outside and it was gone. Richie and I walked back to the couch and we sat down. I sat really close to him now that I was scared.
"Hey you ok"? He smiled.
"Remember when we were checking the security footage a few days ago and we saw that person, you know when we were playing hiding seek"?
"Yeah why"?
"Who was that"? His smile was gone.
"I don't know, the real question was what is it"?
"I saw the same figure outside a few minutes ago".
"What"?
"I'm scared, wait is it Barred"?
"No if it was him then it would look like a shadow not a figure". I hugged him tight. He hugged back.
"Who was that Richie, I'm scared".
"I don't know, maybe we should, go up stairs". We went up stairs to my room after turning off the tv down stairs. When we got to my room, I got on my bed and curled up into a ball.
"I'll keep you safe". He came on my bed too. Then he laid next to me and held me in his arms.
"I'm really scared". My heart was beating really fast.
"Don't worry".
"I already am".
"Come on let's check the security footage from today". We got up and we're holding hands. We went to the security room thing and started checking footage.
"Ok here's a few hours ago, then here's a half am hour ago, here's 6 minutes ago". He had his arm around me now and we continued to watch. The figure was there. We continued watching it and it was towards the house, but then it left.
"Oh my god". I said, I'm officially considering moving.
"Ok, it's the same thing from last time". He said, how is he so calm?
"Richie never leave me alone". I know it sounds weird but I'm terrified right now.
"I wouldn't dream of leaving you alone with this thing"! We were watching LIVE footage now. The thing was back.
"Should I call 911"? I asked.
"What would we tell them, they would think we were pranking them or something". He's right I know that.
"What's it doing"?
"For some reason it's looking around the house, and it's coming closer". He didn't sound worried.
"It's coming to the door" . I pointed at it.
"Your right". All of a sudden it stopped moving and looked up at the camera, even though they are hidden so you can't see them. He started waving. But all we saw was a black figure.
"911 now please"! Richie said calmly. I dialed it and pressed call, it's ringing...
"Hello 911 what's your emergency"?
"Hi, I'm at my house and there is something or someone outside here and I have no idea who or what it is". I gave her my address, house phone number, and my zip code.
"I have police on there way, remain calm, what is the stranger doing now"?
"He's in the house". I dropped the phone.
