We were all running out of town towards the gas station or taxi place that we had came to on our way here. I had to keep Gwen in front of me so she wouldn't fall behind. Mark had Jane on his back because she had a broken ankle from soccer. Dawn was running with Diego and they were holding hands. Tim and Brenden where running behind us and shooting at the same time. I'm so glad we came us a group, because if it wasn't for Tim, I would've been dead. Brenden tripped and fell flat on his face, Tim stopped to pick him up but the runner was already wrestling around with them.
I picked up a random baseball I found on the side of the road and ran back to help the two. I knock the runner of Tim before beating it's skull in. "Thanks a lot Scar." Brenden said before running to Gwen. "You okay?" Tim said, checking me for any bite marks or scratches. "I'm fine." I said before running with the bat in my hand. Tim followed, catching up to me. We finally made it to the Taxi place. We checked around the place to ensure nothing else was around us. I grabbed some near by wood that was in the place and boarded up all the windows I could, Gwen helped my with this.
Tim, Brenden, and Diego were boarding up the doors while Dawn was sitting. Gwen and I finished boarding up the windows and I heard a thud. I jumped and ended up in Tim's arms. He looked at me and chuckled a bit. My face turned red as I got on my feet, walking over to a corner. I sat in the dark corner as the sun went down. We didn't really worry about anything because we had gotten everything boarded up. Brenden sat by Gwen. Gwen looked at me like 'HEEELLLPPP!' I shook my head and leaned on one of the walls or what felt like a wall. I looked up to find, I'm leaning on Tim. He looked down at me and said "You don't mind if I join you in sleeping here right?" I nod at him, hesitantly. I just accepted leaning on him and just slowly let my eyes close.
I felt Tim wrap his arms around my torso. He was basically giving myself heat from his body. I didn't mind the feeling for now because I was to tired to move. When I woke up the next morning I was in Tim's lap and he had his arms around me. I looked over at Gwen, who was cuddling with Brenden, letting my gaze wonder over at Diego. He was leaning on the wall asleep and Dawn fall asleep in the chair. I got up ,careful not to wake Tim, and peaked through the wood. The walkers weren't anywhere close to us so I woke up everyone. I told them I didn't see any walkers anywhere so we took down the wood that was blocking off the door. We exited the building we spent the night in and checked the cars for keys, gas, and batteries. Tim and I worked on the engine while everyone else got in. Once we got the van working we got in the front and started to drive home. I hope at home it's not like this....
