As I woke up from my hour nap, the van was at a stop. I looked up to see Dawn in the driver seat and Diego in the passenger seat. There was smoke rising in the air as traffic stood dead still. Soon after we heard sirens, an explosion went off. A car below up because a car engine caught on fire and got to the gas tank. Luckily, no one got injured in the explosion. I jumped as the explosion went off and Tim looked at me. I looked around, my face showed fear. I slightly panicked because I didn't know what the explosion was. "Calm down Scar, It was just a car." Diego said with a calm voice. "Okay...." I said not calming down at all. "Hey, It's okay." Tim said with a reassuring smile. I nodded and sighed, looking out the window as traffic slowly moved. Tim tried to cheer me up but it didn't really work. Everyone else was still asleep and I just completely zoned out from them. Tim sighed a bit, knowing he had failed his "job". Everyone started to sort of wake up from the explosion.
Soon after that Tim fell asleep as everyone woke up. I leaned on him and fell asleep as Gwen started to wake up. Gwen's face turns as red as a red rose. Brendon's face was an inch away from hers and if he moved any closer, they'd kiss. Gwen had a lot of dreams where Brendon kissed her, but I think she was scared to really get kissed by him. Seeing now, they are like best friends. I'm staying out and away from them because I don't want to screw anything up between them. Plus I have Mark, Jane and Tim to hang out with, well only really Tim. Mark and Jane do there own things. Dawn and Diego have each other, so I really only have Tim to hang out with. Oh well, I don't mind, him and I bond over a lot of stuff any way. The traffic still was slowly moving then to stopped again. The police had it blocked off because something was going on up a head. Dawn sighed and hit her head on the horn, Mark and Jane laughed every time she hit the horn.
Diego made Dawn stop, then traffic slowly moved again. We got off at an exit and stopped at a rest station for a break. I woke up and got out of the van after Tim. I stretched out and cracked my back. Brendon and Gwen were walking into the rest place already. I walked to the rest place texting my aunt that we're close to the airport but the traffic is slow. Tim was behind me and moving me out of the way of people. I walked into the rest stop and walked to the vending machine. Brendon was talking to Mark about something while Jane and Gwen were in the bathroom. I got a kick start and a bag of chips while Tim got Pepsi and Doritos. I looked at my phone as I took a sip of my kick start, Diego texted me and said we had to stay here for a while. I sighed and walked out side and took a seat at a big bench. Tim came out laughing with Brendon and Mark about something. Gwen and Jane came out and sat by me. "So, are you and Tim a thing yet Scarlet?" Jane ask with a smirk. "No, and don't push it." I said into my can as I took a drink.
"Okay, Okay jeez. But are you two going to be a thing?" Jane smiled and chuckled. I shrugged "Why don't you focus on Mark, Jane." I got up and walked away and to the van. Jane sat and chuckled, Gwen chuckled with her then walk after me. "Scarlet, Whats up?" She asked. "I'm just tired, I didn't sleep much at all last night." I sighed and leaned on the van. "Oh, well when we start to go again you can sleep." She smiled at me. "I know." I'd chuckled at her then walked back over to Jane with her. The boys were playing catch with Diego. Dawn, Gwen, Jane and I were just hitting a volley ball around. After 4 hours the traffic was back to normally and every one piled back in the van and we went on our way. I leaned on the window and fell asleep quickly. Tim looked over at me and chuckled. Brendon was playing on his phone and Gwen was looking out the window. Mark was playing with his fingers and Jane was on her phone texting her mom. Dawn was driving as Diego was jamming out to the radio. 3 more hours of driving had passed then we finally got to the air port.
We all got out, once Dawn parked it, and grabbed our bags. We all walked in the airport. It was huge, like walking into the white house in D.C for the first time. Everyone was either waiting or going to their plane to catch it. We had to wait another one or so hours in line JUST to get our tickets. We sat at the airport while everyone else was getting on their planes. I was charging my phone with Gwen. Brendon and Tim were talking about how a little girl was staring at them. Mark and Jane were sitting by Diego and Dawn, who were half asleep. I was texting my aunt off and on until my uncle and her had to get some sleep. Gwen and I walked back over to everyone else. Mark and Jane were watching YouTube videos together, Brendon and Tim were talking about something. Dawn was leaning on Diego while he was looking at his phone. Gwen and I sat down near everyone. I looked at the time and sighed. Gwen stared at her feet as everyone was walking past. Brendon and Tim were talking to some random girls in the airport to see where they were heading. I got annoyed because the girl walked up to me and said beat it.
"And if I don't?" I said looking up at the girl. The girl gave me a death glare and I rolled my eyes. She only wants to sit is because I'm sitting by Tim. Tim chuckled at the girl, seeing how mad she was getting. "Move or else." The girl crossed her arms. "Or else what? You'll run off and cry to your rich dad?" I said, looking at the girl with a small smirk. Gwen giggled at my reply and the girl stormed off and her friend did also. Our plane finally got called! We all got our bags and handed in our ticket as we got on the plane. Tim and I sat my each other and shoved our bags up above us then sat down. Gwen and Brendon sat by each other, Mark and Jane did and Dawn and Diego did as well. I sat on my phone until we took off, Tim looked out the window and nudged me. I looked at him then looked out the window. I looked away quickly and took off my shoes. Tim looked at me, forgetting my deathly fear of heights. He soon realized and slide an arm around me. I looked to him and leaned into him as the plane took off and thus we began our fun journey on the death tr- I mean air plane.
