It's along way home

Chapter 2~Starting from the beginning(Back stories)

I (Scarlet) moved to the city of Gattson when I was 4 or 5. I sadly lost our dad to a car crush in the town of Timber. My mom was working 2 jobs and I had to get a job at the age of 15. I babysit kids around the neighborhood while their parents do whatever. My mom would come home every night with frizzy hair and her makeup running. She looked like she'd been crying at work all day. My mom finally had a day off, and she spent it drinking. I stayed up in my room that day reading and doing homework. I heard my mom crying from down stairs. When the police called my mom about my dad dying in a crash, it hit her really hard. They were high school sweet hearts, and they stayed together through out college. Soon after they got married and had me. My dad died at the age of 35, pretty young some might say. 3 or 6 years later, My mothers doctor called. I picked up the phone and the doctor explained that my mom had a tumor in her brain. I had the phone on speaker since our mom wasn't home yet. I hung up the phone and looked at the floor thinking. Mom got home at 2 am and we stayed up to say goodnight to her. She smiled each time I did it every night. One day when I were at school the office called me both down. My aunt was in the office with tears running down her cheeks and her face was red. I walked into the office and my aunt had said my mom had died in the hospital a few minutes ago. My aunt hugged me and I went home to only see an empty house with no parents on greet me. From that day on I always lived with my aunt.

Mark and Jane knew each other all their lives. They basically grew up together, Mark's and Jane's parents went to high school together. Mark had a small crush on Jane that grew in high school. Jane always hung out with Mark and was everywhere Jane was. It's like they're brother and sister but they aren't. They're just best friends they say, well that changed in high school really fast. Mark moved to Gattson City at the age of 2 and Jane moved to Gattson at the age of 4. Mark's mom said it's a pretty nice school for the kids and they can grow up in the lovely neighbor hood. Jane's mom then said they're moving to Gattson and Jane was excited to hang out with Mark once again. Once Jane's family got settled in , Jane ran over to Mark and hugged him. Mark's face got a little red but he hugged back. Jane was kinda taller than Mark all through out elementary school and the tables turned during 8th and 9th grade. Jane always had to look up at Mark once he grew. Jane was 5'2 when Mark was 5'6. Jane learned that the start of the 7th grade, Mark's dad started to abuse him. Mark came to school some days with bruises an cuts on his face, arms, and stomach. Jane was worried about him one day, because he didn't show up to school. Turns on Mark's mother had died for a medicine over dose. No one knew who'd do that to Mark's mother since she was a sweet women. Mark knew who exactly who'd do such a thing to a women, his father. Mark explained everything to Jane and her parents as best he could. He was only 13 and didn't remember all the details. Jane's parents called the police and had Mark's father arrested. Turns out Mark's father was a child abuser and a druggy before he married Mark's mother. Jane's parent's took in Mark until he's grandmother could come up and stay with him. Jane stayed by Mark's side ever since that day his father got arrest. That's how Mark and Jane always got along. Jane would always pick Mark for partners in any class when we can. Mark's crush grew bigger and bigger for Jane and it's going to grow bigger.

When Gwen was 4 years old, her parents got divorced. Her father won the custody over her, since her mother never cared for her. Since that day her father raised and took care of her. Gwen was always really close to her father. He would take her anywhere that she needed to go. Gwen had a really tough time, not growing up with a mother to look up to, had no siblings, had no friends to play with. Her father tried his best to be there for her in anyway he could. She was in volleyball,soccer, and cheer leading. He went to all her volleyball and soccer games and the games where she had to cheer. She started to look up to her father for a roll model.One day in class where her teacher asked her to write who her roll model was and why. She wrote her father because he's always been there her her when she need him or anyone. She came home and told her father what she wrote and why. He smiled and teared up at what she'd told him. She asked why he was crying, He said that what she did was so sweet and meaningful to him. Her father had to go away for a job inter view so, he dropped Gwen off at his mothers house. Samantha spent the time playing on a tablet or a computer at her grandmothers house. When her father was coming home, a drunk driver hit her father's car from the side and into a tree. He was still alive but had major injuries. The drunk driver was arrested for driving intoxicated, The EMS rushed to the scene to get Gwen's father. The police called Gwen's grandmother and explained what happened to her father.Gwen's grandmother sat thinking what to tell Gwen that her father wasn't going to be picking her up tonight. Gwen's grandmother went to Gwen and explained what happened. Gwen was more worried that if her father was okay and alive. Gwen's grandmother drove Gwen to the hospital to see her father. He had a cast on his leg, arm, and bandages covered the top of his head. Her father smiled at the sight of Gwen running up and hugging him. Gwen stayed int he hospital until her father got discharged and they went home.

Dawn and Diego grew up in the town of Storm, they were neighbors for a while until Dawn moved to Gattson city because her mother found a better job there. Dawn's mother was a teacher at a school in Storm but found a full time teaching job at Gattson's high school. Diego was sad that his only friend left him for about 3 years. Diego's mom said they're moving to Gattson because there were more job opening there then Storm. Diego lit up like a firework on the 4th of July, he was happy he got to see Dawn again. They were both 8 at the time and only in 2nd grade. Dawn saw a movers vehicle of the side of the road across the street one day and was wondering who was moving in. Dawn lit up once she saw Diego and run over. Diego looked at her and smiled. Dawn run to him and hugged him tightly, he hugged back. Diego was glad to see Dawn after 3 years of being a part. Dawn and Diego hung out his place after his family got settled into their new house. Diego walked Dawn home after they had dinner and she did only live across the street. The streets weren't all that busy in the afternoons, but busy in the morning. Diego had deviled a crush on Dawn over time. He didn't know how Dawn felt so he kept it to himself for the time being. Diego didn't let his crush get in the way of his friendship with Dawn at all. Dawn had no clue that Diego liked her so much that he planned out every thing and how he's going to ask her out in the future. Dawn was into romanced stuff and all that other girly crap. Diego was just into Dawn and doing stupid things with his other friends in the neighborhood. Diego had a kind of laid back attitude once he grew up, while Dawn stayed the same way as she always was. Diego loved that about her,she never changed. Dawn's father was in prison for being a druggy the time, Her mother worked long days in a day. Diego's parents worked in the same business office so they went to work together everyday. Diego's parents got off work before Diego was home.

Tim never really stayed in one place with his family. They always moved after living some where for 1 or 2 years. So, when ever Tim made friends and was getting comfortable with the school his family moved. It stopped once they got to Gattson city, because his dad had a good paying job in the city. Tim's mother also had a good paying job in the city. Tim lives in between the outskirts of the city and the city it self. So he goes to the high school that the out skirt kids go to. Tim was surprised to hear from his parents that they're not moving for 1 or 2 year after staying. He was also happy because he could make friends and he didn't have to leave them after 1 or 2 years. He mostly hung out with the guys in the out skirts but he made friends with only 3 girls from the outskirts. He made friends with all the boys his age and a couple boys under his age. He was kinda afraid to talk to the boys above his age since one of the boys was his best friends older brother. He got along with Diego but not really good. Diego also either smelt like Dawn, cigarette smoke, or beer from the night club in the depths of the city. Tim tried to hang around Scarlet and Gwen every he saw them at. Tim thought of them like little sisters, since Tim was an only child. Tim considered all of his friends apart of his family so basically he had a big family. Tim used to wrestle but he quit from that and moved on Basket ball and football. Tim got interested into other sports, like baseball and soccer. He didn't know much about them but he'd thought he'll try them.

Brendon moved to Gattson city when he was about 3 or 4 years old. He lives with his parents and 3 older siblings. His siblings always picked on him because he was the smart on out of all of them. They always asked him of he could do their homework or do a project for them. He finally got sick of them always asking about that, so he started to not answer them. They finally learned that they need to do their own work because it's putting a lot of pressure on Brendon. They always got along after that and 4 years later, Brendon was getting bullied at school. They'd always steal his lunch money and destroy his projects. His parents asked his siblings if he had any friends at school. They all shrugged or shook their heads. One day a 2 girls walked up to Brendon and stood up for him. The girls were Scarlet and Gwen, Brendon thanked them and started to hang out with them. They always went to the park and hang out while his siblings were at home text and on the computer. As we all got older we started to play on the computer and play video games with each other. We always played games with zombies or shooting in them and after a while, we got pretty got at them. Brendon would win a couple a rounds, then Gwen would , then Scarlet would. Brendon started to like Gwen after the fifth grade, and he didn't know that she liked him back. Scarlet had things going on with Jane and Mark, so Gwen and Brendon were always hanging out. In high school Brendon soon had a huge crush on Gwen as, in his eyes, grew prettier and prettier each day. Scarlet nudged Brendon to ask her out one day and he said someday he will, but he doesn't know when. Brendon was to nervous to even talk to Gwen in high school because he'd stutter all the time he talked to her. Gwen finally walked up to Brendon and talked to him and for once he didn't stutter and he talked normally around her. Scarlet had a huge grin on her face at her locker as see saw the two talking to each other. Brendon was starting to blush on his face as Gwen said he was invited to a party.
