Soon, we were all sitting in darkness. The emergency lights in the place slowly came on, but they only showed like a spot lights. At the end of the long hall, near the elevators.. we all saw a large kind of heavy set man leaning forward a bit. He was kinda twitching a bit.. I just kinda shifted a bit, ready to run at any moment. Soon another man, but this one was much skinner and less heavy set. He was taller as well. The lights suddenly turn back on and it was a flash mob of dancers performing for the hotel. We all sighed and relaxed. Hehe, we thought it was something else.. It's not bad to always be on edge but it's a good thing as well.
After we all got finished with our breakfast, we headed out into the city. It was kind of weird. The city seemed like it was almost die. As if someone or something just swiped away all of the life forms of the town away. "The hell.." Diego mumbled and stuck close to all of us. "This is like a ghost town now..." Dawn replied and walked closer to Diego. Brenden was just looking around the place as well. The cars were just parked on the side of the road, no traffic. No building lights were on. Nothing. It was something you'd see straight out of a dream or a horror movie.
"This is odd for a city like this... like is there any events going that you know of Diego?" I spoke softly as I was walking a bit close to Tim. Tim was just scanning the area with Brenden. "Not that I know of.. they didn't say anything but things might have changed other wise..." Diego replied, sliding his arm around Dawn in a protective hold. Mark was carrying Jane on his back so she could get a better view of the road and to see what was up a head. "Nothing looks out of place up there.." Jane replied and shifted a bit. "What's going on then.. isn't this city normally packed fully?" Gwen said, fear filled her voice as well.
"Normally it is, but something is going on." Tim replied. The tone of his voice was seriously with hints of fear. Yes, we are all scared but we kept walking to the down town area. A huge crowd of people were standing in front of one single building. The news station. They were banging on the windows, doors, the building it self and yelling. We all stopped as soon as we saw them. Barely any cars in the parking lot of the news station. Just a couple of news vans, cars, and more. The helicopter was also just sitting on top of the news station as well. Something about these people were off. They had no senses it seemed like..?
Near by, a lady walking her dog. The dog started to bark at the crowd of people. The crowd looked to the dog and suddenly they lunged at the dog and the lady. Luckily the lady dropped the leash and the dog started to run back towards it home. The lady screamed and followed. The crowd seemingly followed as well. "What the fuck was that..?" Diego and Mark said in unison. "What are they..?" I said, my eyes were widen. "Was that the virus the anchor was talking about..?" Jane looked puzzled. "I-I believe so... but why would they be here now..?" Gwen replied, her tone worried some. "It couldn't be.." Brenden said as he kept walking.. Diego and Dawn lead us all to what seemed like the police station.
Ya know whenever you're in a zombie movie and the police station is like always kinda destroyed? Yeah in this case, it seemed like the building wasn't touched at all. It was still standing, the tall blue building was standing sky high. There were police in cars still parked there. Again, it just seemed like a ghost town. There was no panic, no screams, no people trying to tear into each other's flesh-. I looked around to we're the crowd of strange people were. Again it was about 10-15 people so I don't really know if it would be a crowd or a group.
They were no where in sight. Gwen just kinda sighed as we made our way to the door. Diego freed his arm from around Dawn. He stepped to the door and tried to open it. The door pushed open but sounded like it hadn't been opened in years. It creaked open loudly. The sounds of the door echoed through out the station. A sound of something creeped up through the hallways. It sounded like a herd of animals. "Shit, shit shit shit shit! Move!" Diego grabbed Dawn and pulled her to the side of the building. My eyes widen as I those humans...? No no, they weren't that.. they were something else. I was frozen in place, my body not wanting to move. Tim grabbed me by my waist and pulled me to the side as the others got to the sides just in time. The people bursted through the door like it was nothing. Running off straight into the street. They aimed for anything that was a moving target. Their clothes slightly torn. Blood on their clothes as well as their faces. There eyes were white... well, their pupils and irises were. The rest of the eyes was blood shot. The veins in the eye sticking out. They were making weird clicking noises, twitching to sounds. It was like they were blinded and attracted by movements. We heard the fire whistle go off. Oh no.. the things screeched loudly like a wendigo off of Until Dawn then they ran off towards the direction of the whistle.
We took this chance to slowly get our selves into the police station. The guys went before the girls and covered them if needed. The boys slowly shut the door to the place. We all used the flashlight on our phones to look around. It looked like a complete slaughter house. Blood smeared on the wall. The disgusting smell of rioting corpses with a hit of mucus. Mark set Jane done on her feet was we just explored the place. Yes, of course we stayed in a group for now, until we had to split up. This building looked to have 3-5 floors. The main lobby, under ground, then offices, jail cells, and locker room. We heard a tv in the distance that was playing a state of emergency message. "If you are hearing this now, you've probably have witnessed many occasions of people trying to hurt you. This is the side affect of Blue hinder. Please be aware that the infection can spread through contact of blood, scratches, and salvia. May god be with you all. Please try to evacuate as soon as possible. Stay safe as well." The Tv said then a long beep occurred. It repeatedly the message again. "No way.." I mumbled.
