It's along way home

Chapter 10 ~ Exploring the grounds

I return the tight hug to Tim. We both sat there in silent and hugged each other. "How could this be happening..?" I thought. "Here..? Now?! We were only joking... I doubt we jinxed it.. but we possibly could be......" I zoned off into my thoughts, beginning to have a panic attack. Tim looked down at myself and lightly shook me. "Scarlet..?" He spoke softly to me, his voice was smooth like honey. The shake he gave, it felt like a shake back into reality. I blinked once, or maybe a few extra times. I briefly look up at Tim. Tim let out a soft exhale of it seemed to be relief? Tim leaned down to me a bit and placed a soft warm kiss on my forehead. I smiled as he did that, Gwen was in awe. Jane was busy, basically knee deep in articles, news stations, and more with this random power outage we were getting. It seemed strange how just Tim and I were joking about this stuff and now it's actually becoming real. Huh.. I guess things you say do really matter in this world.. like honestly they do. Watch what you say..

Mark and Brendon were basically just in their room, sleeping through this of course. Those boy could probably sleep through anything if they really wanted to. Jane softly spoke "Since everything is basically out, there's no way of telling how long this is going to last. I think it should be fixed over night but then again I have no idea..." She shrugged "I'm sure it will be, we just have to have some hope." Gwen said with her smile "Hopefully it is fixed by then.. I don't wanna walk down all those stairs..." Tim mumbled softly and then we all broke out in laughter. It seems like in the worse kind of situations I always like having these guys around. They always make me smile.. It's been like that ever since we all met each other. After we all were done laughing, Gwen and Jane said night and went off to their beds and laid down. With those two drifting off into sleep, Tim and I got up and heading to the door. I was a bit afraid soo I basically just out of instinct followed Tim to his room.

Tim snickered softly and let myself enter the room of 2 snoring boys. Tim quietly shut the door and then waved me over to his bed. I sat on the edge of it as Tim got changed in the bathroom. Well he basically took a shower and I kinda just laid down on his bed, wrapping myself in the covers. I shivered a bit as I thought about bad things.. like people chasing me and chasing me.. trying to grab at me, bite me, scratch me. My head started to race, the room started to spin a bit. Tim came out of the shower and placed a head on my shoulder, I jumped to this. Tim put both of his hand up and surrendering position "Sorry to scare you." Tim whispered to me and slid into the bed with myself. "I-it's fine..." I muttered back. Tim opened his arm, offering cuddles. I shifted, moving closer to him. The feeling of his kind of muscular  arm wrap around me. I felt safe, protected and loved. Tim was a great guy, he seemed to care a lot about myself. I smiled at this, moving as close as I could possibly could to Tim. I took a small inhale, smelling the body wash he used. Tim rested his head on mine and held a smile. I closed my eyes and drift off into sleep.

As time slowed into day, Mark and Brendon soon wake up to Tim in bed with Scarlet. "Ooooooooooooo Tim got lucky~~" Mark teased. "Dude, no way... Tim would never do that in the same room as us.." Brendon replied and had a gross face as he got up and used the bathroom. "That is true.." Mark chuckled and got up as well. Tim shifted a bit and woke up from the voice. "Shit.." He mumbled and looked down at the sleeping girl he oh so loved. I shifted and snuggled into him more.  Tim's face just became red as he made eye contact with Mark. Mark held a smirk and snicker. "Little Timmy got a crush~~"  Tim shook his head quickly and put a finger to his mouth as I was starting to wake up. "What~~ Don't want me to say that around your little girlfriend~~" Mark kept teasing Tim. Brendon just shook his head and left the room. Mark and Tim were talking back and forth to each other about something... I only heard mumbles of it. I shifted, seeing Tim slightly sitting up and a bit angry. Mark was only teasing Tim and making him more annoyed by the second. I reached my hand up to Tim's cheek and moved his head down to myself and just pressed my lips to his. Tim's face slowed into a scarlet red, mine followed as I realized what I did. Tim leaned away from me and just kinda leaned back as well.

"Ah.... S-sorry.. you just looked angry... soo I though-" I said and looked away but looked back as Tim cut me off. "I was but thank you, I appreciate it." Tim smiled at me, I returned the smile and got up from the bed. Tim shifted and grabbed his clothing, going into the bathroom. Mark was snickering at what happened and was on his phone as well. I just muttered something and stepped out of the room after I got off the bed and headed to the door. I went into my room I shared with Gwen and Jane, sliding into the shower-. Brendon was making plans with Gwen at the time because after this whole thing he did want to take her out without the whole group being there..... Gwen did yes of course. Everyone was basically dressed but Tim and I so they headed down to the lobby and waited for us. Funny thing was after Tim and I got dressed, we found each other in the hallway. We both blushed and walked down together. Oh, the power was back on as well. Turns out someone just hit a tower near by and it made everything go black. The group waved as they saw Tim and myself enter the lobby. We walked over to them and all got breakfast. Basically sitting at the biggest table we could, we just all shared stories about past vacations and more.

As we all got finished up with our breakfast, we headed out into the city for the day. Ah yes the city was huge, it followed through out the night, but the buildings shined through out the night. The sun's glow made the tall buildings shine basically. We all looked around amazed and in awe. This had to be the absolutely most beautiful city, I have ever seen in my life time. As we all walked the streets, we danced through crowds, ran through crosswalks and much more. We stopped by street performers, restaurants, museums, and more. We all took interest in each other's idea of the city and just to see around the place. Come around lunch time, we all had piled into a small kinda subway place. We all got our subs and the guys all chipped in to pay for it. The girls just found a big enough area to sit, near the TV displaying the news. Was it good or bad news..? We couldn't really tell because the subtitles were on. We just enjoyed our meals as we heard what sounded like sirens going off as we all finished our subs... People seemed to be in a panic while running towards us..? We just all looked confusingly outside then looked at the TV. We sat there and read the subtitles as they appeared on the screen. "What the hell is going on now..?" Mark mumbled to the group as it talked about a mysterious virus and or explosion coming from an outside lab. Tim and I just made eye contact and we both swallowed hard. This was the thing we were talking about.. The thing we were joking about.... the possible thing that we didn't wish to happen.. the Tv Screen just slowly faded to black as well as the power source.
