YOUR P.O.V

"Omma, I'm home," I informed my mother. "Do you even remember  you have a home?" my mother reprimanded.

Did I mention? I wasn't exactly on good terms with my parents. They did not like the idea of me staying over in the hospital for a long period of time. I didn't want to return home because of the tension I have with my parents.

I felt frustrated since I had to give up my sleeping space in the hospital to the popular guy. I headed up to my own bedroom, hoping for some peace while I took a rest.

"Minhee, get your ass down here and have dinner." I heard my father. "Appa, I don't have appetite. You guys go ahead and eat." Not expecting a reply, I closed my eyes, ready to drift off to dreamland.

"Minhee, shut up and eat. Now!" Urgh, I dragged my feet downstairs, knowing that they won't give up so easily.

I saw the spread on the table, but I really don't feel like filling my stomach. I reluctantly picked up the pair of chopsticks from the dining table and took some kimchi before placing it into my mouth.

Dinner time was over and I am now in my room, writing out a report about a recent research that was confidential. I was put in charge of it, which explains my fatigue.

Once I was halfway done, I sent the email to all my other group members before shutting down my laptop and going to bed.

As I laid on my bed, many thoughts ran through my mind. Isn't one's home a warm shelter that many look forward to going to? Aren't one's parents supposed to be there for you during your lowest times? Why is my home all cold and melancholic? Why are my parents so distant? Sometimes, I do suspect if my parents are my biological ones, but I tried to think like a mature woman, which I am, convincing myself that my parents had raised me up to be where I am today, so I shouldn't be doubting them. Slowly, I drifted off into dreamland.
