Chapter Eight

Paige

I woke up as someone knocked on the door, Cody answered it and Micky came in. 

"Anthony is saying how long are you going to keep your guests waiting. You invited Leo and he rang to apologised for running late. Anthony is not in good mood right now" Micky inquired

"Tell grandpa, as long as it takes; Paige is resting and I am not leaving her alone , we will come as soon as she is wakes". Cody answered

"Anthony is not really happy, you are the new alpha, you will need to put your pack first and than your mate" Micky advised before leaving

Cody closed the door behind him and turned to face me.  He looked surprised to see me awake.  "How are you feeling now?" He asked

"Much better, thank you. Were you waiting for me?

"Yes"

I was still half a sleep but I got that much that everyone is waiting for Cody and he is here because of me.  I felt bad; so I said to him "you go get changed and give me 10mins to get ready". Cody left and I got up and opened all of the bags.  Three of them had evening dress and one of them had some jewellery.  I picked silver dress for me to wear. it was gorgeous and it looked expensive as well. Somehow silver dress reminded me of my aura, which I am about to see, thanks to Cody and Lucas.  Dress was front slit full sequins and long.  It was beaded strapless dress.  Cody even got me diamond necklace to go with it. It also had matching bracelet with finger ring, I wore that on my left hand.   I even wore my hair up to show my beautiful necklace (it really looks good on me, how can I hide with my hair down), since Cody found my bag it had all my essential items, I also found retro cross blue and silver diamond brooch that I bought at the airport. Some how seeing it, it reminded me of Cody's aura, so I kept it out to see if he would like to wear it.

Cody  must have borrowed all of these things from Megan (Megan has really good fashion sense) but forgot the shoes. I was just thinking of borrowing shoes from Megan and someone knocked on the door. 

"Come in" I shouted, 

"Paige, are you ready? Grandpa is ......" Cody stopped mid sentence.

When i looked up Cody was just staring at me.  He was wearing blue suit and was carrying a box with him, he looked really handsome in it. The suit looked custom made and must be expensive (he can afford it, being a club owner and all). I bet as soon as we get down stairs all the women are going to throw them selves at him (thought of that just made my blood boil).  He wasn't saying any thing but just staring at me.  I turn to look in the mirror to see if I have something on my face or I dropped something on my dress (everything looked fine to me). 

"Cody, have I got something on me?  What are you staring at?" I had to ask before I make fool of my self.

"No, you look gorgeous. I hope you liked your dresses" he asked

"Yes, they are beautiful", he gave me the box before I said anything else. When I opened the box, I show the most beautiful sandal, I have ever seen. They were silver rhinestone toes strap and leg wrap high heeled sandal.  It was love at first sight, I don't think I will be able to give it back. They looked brand new, may be I could buy it off Megan.  As soon as I see her, I must ask her. I wore my sandal and did 360 in front of the mirror to see what I look like.  I scrubbed up quite well in 15 mins, If I say so my self. Cody was looking at me as if he finally found what he was looking for, that satisfying look made me smile at him, I almost forgave him, almost.

Just as we were leaving I remember the brooch and dash back into the room to get it.  Cody was behind me when I turned, he must have followed me inside. I just realised he wouldn't want to wear my cheap brooch on his expensive suit, so I decided to leave it on dressing table.  As I was putting it back, Cody asked if I was planning to wear that and why was I sad. Was I sad?  I didn't think so, would Cody not wearing my brooch make me sad?
