Chapter Eleven

I knew why Peter wanted us to play this game now. All of his wolves coated their claws with silver, so everytime they scratched us we would get silver in our body. Silver is poison to us and our team was getting sick. We were loosing the game and I knew I was going to loose Paige if I didn't do something soon. Peter had 1000 points and we only had 450 points on our side. I had to do something fast but I was out of ideas. Game was about to end and final countdown just started. Clock was ticking and 5 seconds left and I was helpless to do anything. All my wolfs was sick with poison and if not treated could die as well.
I don't know what happened in last few seconds but all the rabbit that we caught started moving. Further investigation told us that they were all alive. None of us knew how that happened but in the end we won. I went running to Paige to tell her but she wasn't there. Megan wasn't there either, I couldn't look for them either as I had to claim the prize otherwise Peter could claim for it stating I didn't officially claim it. As I went to claim the prize I saw Peter and his wolf running out of the house. I claimed the price making Paige officially from my pack. After claiming the prize I found Megan but couldn't see Paige anywhere. When I asked Megan she confessed that Paige excused her self saying she needed the loo and hasn't come back since than. She has been gone 15 mins. It all made sense now, why Peter ran out of house. He must have gone after Paige. I told everyone to start looking for Paige and started feeling for our bond, so that we could find her. I wasn't getting much but just the general direction. I followed my instincts and ran towards our bond. My bond led me to the dip in the jungle. I could smell her fear and her blood where she must have fell. I followed her blood to the witches house. The witches come here once year for 7 days and do their mojo and leave. They never interfere in our business and we never interfere in their business.

I couldn't walk any further as barrier surrounding witches house was stopping me, I could feel Paige in the house. I kept trying to pass the barrier and kept screaming for witch to open the barrier for me. In the end I decided to use my alpha status and threaten witch, if she wouldn't open the barrier for me than all the alliance between us will end and this will be her last stay in my territory.

In the end witch came out and asked me what I wanted. She also reminded me that alliance between us is not only for her beneficiaries but for both of us and i shouldn't be too quick to terminate it.

"I have just came here yesterday so, I still have 6 more days before you need to ask me to leave. As far as I know, I haven't broken any rules but it seems to me that you would definitely like to break our agreement" She asked

"I haven't come here to break our agreement, I came to get my mate, who is in your cottage. Please let me take her from here and than you can go about your business"

"Your mate is not here but I do have a woman here who is really scared and extremely tired from running."

"She is my mate and I am taking her with me. Either you bring her out or I will have to destroy your barrier and take my mate from here"

"You have silver poisoning, so there is a chance that if you were in your pick condition that you could have broken my barrier but not in the condition that you are in. Beside she is sleeping, I gave her sleeping potion, so she won't be awake for another hour or so. You are welcome to sit beside her but you are not taking her anywhere."

"You can't stop me from taking her, she is my mate......"

"And that's why I invited you to sit with her. She might be your mate but you can't take her until I say so. she is important to me as well."

"What do you want?"

"Come inside and I will tell you the condition for taking her from here."

She led me inside the house and I realised that it was the first time I have ever been in witch's house. She offered me drink which I declined and she sat down next to me.

"I will let you take her on few conditions, when you agree to all the conditions you are welcome to take her from here"

"What are you conditions, I am not promising anything but I will consider them"

"First condition is that you will bring her back here in three days time. Second is that when you bring her in three days time and what I suspect comes to be true, you will let her come here every year. While we are here for 7 days, she will stay with us. Third is that you will not force her to choose."

Her condition didn't seem that bad. It could be that I was loosing my strength rapidly because of the poisoning. I did have certain problems with what she was asking but I could not refuse her out right. " I will bring her here in three days time but while she is here I will be staying with her. Her coming here every year is something I can't promise, it will be her choice. If she decide that she would like to come every year, she won't be staying here. She will come and go as she wants and there will be at least 1 member of my pack will be with her at all time. And I will never ask Paige to choose between anything, she will decide what she wants to do. She is my mate and I choose her as she is."

She wasn't happy with my answers but I didn't deny her what she wanted she left me alone with Paige. I waited for Paige to wake up but pull to change my self into wolf was getting unbearable. I decided to carry Paige from witches' house, as she will be safe with my pack when I change into wolf. My wolf is safe and would never harm Paige, but silver would make my wolf on edge and I didn't want to risk it. I told witch that I am taking Paige and if she could open the barrier for me. As I knelt down to pick Paige up she woke up and looked at me with surprise. I can understand as I was the last person she would be expecting to see.

"Hi, I am here to take you with me"

"I am not going anywhere with you. You were playing a silly game on my expense. You didn't even tell me that I was the prize. I could see that you were loosing. How can you bet my life like that. I thought you were better than that. " Paige stated.

"I am sorry, but I could not tell you about you being the price. If I did then I knew you would run. Please ! Please! Give me one more chance. I promise I would make try never yo hide anything from you " Begged Cody.

" I don't know if I could trust you again. You keep breaking my trust. Every time I think I can trust you, you do something that would make me think again on my sanity. I don't think I can take it any more. I just want to go home away from all these and away from you. Please let me go" cried Paige.

" I am sorry, what can I do to make you trust me? You promise to give me chance please at least give that much to saw you what you would miss out on if you go now" please! One more chance? "
" Ok, just last time, but next time i say I want to go you won't refuse me or try to change my mind. Promise? "

"Promise" said Cody lifting me off the bed.
