She gripped her arm pretty tightly. Jordyn, stood there, a little scared and she backed up a bit from the weaponry. Tiff loosened her grip and stood back. "I-I'm sorry," she looked down then at Jor, "I don't want you to hurt yourself so." Jordyn was a bit confused on who she was talking to, "It's ok..? Who are you?"
"Oh it's still me, Tiff. I just have different forms."
"Oh." Jor continued to hesitate with her words. "I like this form of you. It's easier to see you."
"Aw thanks," she was internally laughing at the weird comment. "Did you sleep well? It was only about two hours ya know."
"Yes, I slept better than I have before."
"That's good. Hey, do you mind if I ask you some questions?"
"No, go ahead."
"Great! Ok. You may want to sit. Somewhere away from the sharp stuff of course." Jor and Tiff moved away from the knives and sat in a more comfortable place. "Ok, Jordyn. Your number is on your back correct?"
"How did you kn-"
"I have eyes for your information," Tiffany interrupted her. "Ok, so do you know how to fight?"
"No, not really. I was never allowed to or I got punished."
"Makes sense. Do you remember how many shots you have gotten?"
"Too many to count," Jordyn glanced at her curiously, and thought. How does she know about the injections?
"Can your wings function?"
"Probably, yes."
"Aight. So Jor, I gotta explain something to you. That lab you were in. The scientists were using you. They probably planned to cut off your wings as well. They want to benefit only themselves and don't care about rejects like- y-you. And probably me." Jordyn listened intently. "And well, I don't think it's right. That's why I saved you. And I've been saving creatures of all species to get them freedom. And I want you to help me. I can't really do it alone."
"You sound like you're gonna propose to me or something-"
"Well I have a proposition, bird brain. Not the marriage kind."
"Ah. Ok, I guess... I could help you. But you gotta help me too. Help me, help you."
"Sounds like a plan. Shake on it?" Tiffany extended her hand in front of her. "Don't shake if you're gonna stab me in the back."
"How do I know you're not gonna do that?"
"Because I'm the one holding out my hand." Jordyn considered her answer and shook Tiffany's hand.
"Ok so I see now, that I will have to teach you how to fight and defend for yourself. As well as fly," She turned into a hybrid once again. "I'm gonna teach you in a calm part of a forest I know, grab my hand."
Jor took her hand and they teleported in the woods. They both scanned the area and Tiffany took both of Jordyn's hands. "Ok. I want you to move your wings a bit. I'll form wings on my back to give you an example," Tiffany did so, her misty wings fluttered and shifted a little. Jordyn opened her wings a bit and shifted them a little, trying to mimic Tiff. "Can you open your wings all the way like this?" Tiffany spread out her wings. Jor copied her. "Good job. Ok.. To fly you usually control the direction, the way you fly, with your body," she flapped her wings a bit, "The way your wings spread out is also important, whether you want to go fast or glide." Jordyn glimpsed at Tiff's wings. "You have to work your wings simultaneously to fly. I'll show you and you can try." Tiffany soared upward and flapped her wings. "See? Now you try!" She yelled. Pausing for a while, Jor flapped her wings a great amount and tried to get off the ground. Tiffany lowered herself to Jor's level, still hovering. "Want help?"
"No I got it."
"Ya sure shortie?" She got a death glare as a reply. Jordyn moved her wings continuously and tried again. And again. And again. "Yeah... I need help," she admitted defeat. Tiffany went up behind her and cracked her wings, stretching them better. "You needed to stretch. Plus you flap in and out most of the time at this angle." Jor tried out what Tiff said and started to float above ground. Tiffany smiled, "You got it." Jordyn grinned and she began to fly higher. "Careful, your only getting used to it, you could fall."
"I think I got the hang of it."
"That's good," she smiled. Jor swooped up high and flapped her wings. Tiff watched from down below. She's a fast learner. Jordyn looked down and felt a bit dizzy from the high height, she felt a bit nervous about falling and crashing. Soon enough, her wings cramped and she began to fall. Tiff noticed her fault and zoomed up high, and caught her quickly. "Falling for me already?" she snickered at her joke a little. "Shut up." They landed on the ground and sat there. "Not bad for a first try."
"Thanks."
Not bad for a first try, Tiffany. Yeah. Thanks.
