The bright sun shined down against her human skin. It was warm, but still cold outside. Tiffany gave a large sigh and adjusted her long hair and her bangs. People eyed her as they passed by. I'm the murderer you're thinking of aren't I? I look the same except human. Her eyes narrowed as she approached the large white building. LAB CORE: BENEFITING THE FUTURE AND DISCOVERING THE IMPOSSIBLE. The sign always annoyed her, it was to bright, bold, and just downright a lie. A policeman poked at Tiff's arm and she turned slightly, looking at him. "Hello ma'am, but may I ask what you are doing?"
"Nothing in particular sir. Just thinking about what's inside this building."
"Hmm. Really?" Tiffany nodded at him to respond. He examined her body and her face. "Hey you seem awfully familiar."
"I am not the girl from TV."
"You look exactly like her? What are they calling her? Missy? Myra?"
"Mystic."
"Ah yes, Mystic." He gave a look at her face again. "Of course, you wouldn't be her, you're only human." Tiff gave a fake laugh and smiled. "Of course not. But I really must go now." She walked away quickly, silently hissing at herself.
"Luminous. Why do you think I call you that instead of 545?" The tall man was standing above her. She was sitting in the corner, but peered up a little and didn't respond. He paused before speaking again, "Do you know you are one of my favorite lab creatures?" Tiffany shook her head slightly. "You are. That's why I call you Luminous. You are such a beautiful specimen. You are capable of many astounding things."
"Go to hell you god damned bastard," her voice was hoarse and raspy. He smacked her, straight across the face, hard like ice hitting tile floor. She fell onto the ground and laid there, sobbing. He bent down and held her cheeks, making Tiffany stare into his eyes. "Now that's not very nice Lumi... You better be good to the one that takes care of you." Her eyes watered, but all she could do was stare into his eyes. He came closer to her face and she tried to become an unphysical being, or disappearing. Sadly, there was no effect. She struggled to move back and tried to push him away. "Stop!" She yelped. Nothing could stop what she knew was going to happen no matter how hard she tried. He gave her a kiss on the lips. Hard. Why. Why me. Why the hell do I have to be molested by a guy (who could possibly be the same age as me) that keeps me in a lab for freaks. Tears ran down her face as he pulled away. I despise you. Her eyes showed her hatred.
Tiffany went into an alleyway. She looked around for some sort of ladder. Ladder, ladder, ladder, ladder. The ladder is dangerous, Tiffany. She tried to keep her head stuck in reality rather than memory. She climbed up, carefully but quickly. She inhaled the chilling air and glared at the piercing white building. She forced herself to change into her hybrid and went a few steps back to get ready to jump into the dark window with Number 503 inside. She pulled out her silver pistol. Took a few breathes. Run. Run. Run.
Jump.
