At lunch time, I grabbed my lunch box from my locker and took my time getting to the cafeteria. I entered in and didn't see Hanna or Tris anywhere. I sighed and scanned the rest of the room. I saw Riker and he caught my gaze. He motioned for me to sit with him and I hesitates. Finally, I built up the guts, smoothed my hair, and crossed over to Riker. I stood at the head of the table and examined who's sitting here. I saw a girl with black hair and highlights and, of course, Riker's normal gang.

"Grab a seat Marilyn." Riker offered and I plopped down next to him. I unzipped my lunch bag and pulled out my ham and cheese sandwich. I took a bite and chewed slowly, gazing around the lunch room.

"Guys, this is Marilyn. Marilyn this is Luke, Chad, and Francesca but call her Frankie." Riker goes around the table and introduced everyone. Luke and Chad looked at me lustfully and I shifted my position awkwardly. Frankie gave me a big smile and I waved. I looked in my lunch bag for my drink, but I didn't have one.

"Riker, can I borrow a dollar?" I asked him. He pulled out a dollar from his wallet and handed it to me. "Thank you!" I beamed as I skipped to the vending machine.

I turned down the hall and put in my dollar. I selected water and my bottle tumbled out. I headed back into the lunch room and stop and talk to some of the girls in my choir class.

I sat down, and I being to munch on some chips. The lunch director goes up to the microphone and tapped it.

"Students, do not be alarmed but we are going on a lockdown. The bank across the street just got robbed so please go into the gym and hide under the bleachers. But please, don't panic."

We all jumpped up from our chairs and shuffled into the gym. We crawled under the bleachers in rows and sat down. I was sitting between Riker and Frankie.

"This is a little scary." I admitted. Riker touched my arm, so softly it makes me have chills.

"It's okay. It'll be over before you know it." I relaxed a little and watched as all the seniors crammed under the bleachers. There are so many, that I was basically sitting in Riker's lap.

"Here," He said as he lifted me onto his lap effortlessly. "There you go." I fit perfectly in his criss crossed legs, like two puzzle pieces.

"Thanks. I'm not too heavy am I?" I worried. He laughed a little.

"Not at all. You're very lightweight."

We were under the bleachers for about an hour, before the lockdown is over. We all get rushed home for security reasons. I grabbed my things and homework and snatch my keys.

I unlocked my car and hopped inside. When I turned out of the schools parking lot, I'd forgotted that I had to tutor Riker. I pulled over and called him.

"Riker, can you meet me at my house? I forgot about tutoring today." I said before Riker even said Hello.'

"Yeah. What's your address?" I gave him my address and told him to meet me there in thirty minuets. I sped home and took a shower, changing into some skinny jeans and a light pink hoodie. I put my hair up half up half down and curled my ends.

"Marilyn, someone's at the door!" My aunt yelled. I jumped down the stairs and opened the door. Riker was standing there with his backpack and a guitar case in his hands.

"Sorry, but after this I have to go to the studio. My band is recording some singles." I stepped aside and let him in. I motioned for him to follow me to the basement and showed him where to put his things.

"I didn't know you were in a band." I said as I sat down at the piano.

"Yeah, it's Ross, Rocky, Rydel, Me, and our friend Ellington. It's called R5. Because all of our names start with 'R'."

"Wait, Ellington doesn't."

"His last name is Ratliff." I made an o shape with my mouth and spread out paper, pencils, and Riker's homework on the top of the piano.

"Do you play?" He asked, beckoning towards the piano.

"Yeah, I dabble." I said as I played a complicated tune.

"Dabble?" We high five and Riker got out his math book, homework, paper, and pencils.

"Let's get started!" I said as I grab a pencil and open the textbook. Let the hour of tutoring, being.

Riker invited me to go to the studio with him and my aunt said yes. We were in the lounge of the west wing of Hollywood Records, waiting for their producer to get here. I was sitting in a bean bag drinking a Cola from the glass and watching Rocky and Ross shoot each other with Nerf guns.

"Boys," I said as I roll my eyes. Rydel nodded her head and popped her gum.

"So Marilyn, do you sing?" Riker's mother asked.

"A little, but I play the piano more." I said taking a sip of Cola.

"Can you demonstrate for us?" Mr. Lynch asked. I stood up and crossed over to the grand piano. I p.eyed one of my favorites, If I Ain't Got You by Alicia Keys.

"That is lovely!" Mrs. Lynch exclaimed.

"Thank you." I smiled. Ross and Rocky came in, covered in nerd darts from head to toe.

"Good job." I smirked and continued to play. Rocky pulled one off and yelped in pain. They eventually, got off all the darts and their producer walked in.

"Sorry I'm late, my daughter had a dance recital." A short, round guy said walking in the room. He noticed me and points. "Who's this young lady?"

"This is Marilyn my friend. Marilyn this is our producer, Mr. Fields." Riker said immediately.

"Nice to meet you Mr. Fields." I greeted him.

"Same to you Marilyn. Lets get started shall we?!" He rushed Riker into the booth and he put on a pair of headphones.

"Say You'll Stay in three, two, one!" The music started playing and Riker sung.
