Vixen and Shale walked home in silence. Though he said nothing Vixen knew he was pissed. She kept her head down and her mouth shut. Walking to her room as soon as they got home. Shale, however, stayed in the kitchen. Muttering to himself and casting glances at Vixen. She wanted to scream at him or question why he wasn't mad but she didn't. Instead she simply muttered sorry and left.
Once in her room Vixen ploped down on her bed. She pulled her pillow on top of her face and closed her eyes. Hoping for a bit of sleep. Vixen finally started to drift off into sleep."Mors? That vampire that thinks she's a God? Ha." Vixen looked around for the sorce of the voice. A few feet away stood two people. Both male and for some reason both familiar. The closer Vixen got the better she understood. Shale was on the left and on the right. Vixen squinted her eyes at the man. She had no clue who he was but for some odd reason, she thought she should know.
"Yes. Mors. I only ask that you let me talk to her. I can convince her that this I bad. Please." Shale begged the man.Vixen laughed. She never thought she would ever see Shale, of all people, beg. The other man simply nodded and let Shale go on his way. He turned around, and with lazer fast speed, ran. Vixen followed, trailing behind him. When she caught up she stopped to listen to the conversation.
"Mors, my dear. Please. They won't let you get away with this." Shale whispered. A female voice answered him.
"Shale. Don't worry. My plan will not fail. I'm gathering more and more loyal subjects by the day. We'll soon be able to take over that little group of weak vampires." Shale sigh and the dream began to fade away. The last thing Vixen heard before she woke up was Shale's soft voice answering one more time.
"Mors. I love you."Vixen jumped awake. Her door creaked open and Shale poped around the corner.
"Hope you don't mind. You'll be late for school if you don't hurry up. I'll be late but I'll join you there soon." He said. Vixen looked up at him, noticing he was avoiding eye contact.
"Fine get out then." She growled back. Shale sighed and shut the door. Vixen pulled herself out of bed and quickly got dressed. Rushing to the kitchen only to realise Shale had left.
"Fine. Don't wish me luck." She muttered to herself. Vixen began to walk put the door. Today wasn't as sunny as every other day. The sky was filled with gray clouds and a rain drop touched her nose. The school building came into view. Vixen hurried up and pushed open the doors. The halls were lined with lockers and filled with students. Most paused to look at her. Vixen headed to the office and checked in.
"I'm new. What class am I in?" She asked the lady at the desk. She sighed and handed Vixen a small pice of paper. First class. Math.Vixen headed to her class. Adverting her eyes away from people's. She opened her locker and looked inside.
"Shit. I forgot to bring anything." She whispered. Sighing she closed her locker and turned around. Vixen jumped as she came face to face with a girl.
"Hey. Your new right? You forgot to bring stuff, didn't you? Don't worry. We're in the same class. You can borrow some of my stuff." She giggled. Vixen smiled, awkwardly. Why was this girl helping her. She was new and knew nothing. She could have easily been a bully. Whatever, Vixen thought, at least I'll get to class with stuff. The girl pulled out a notebookand pencil. She handed them to Vixen with a smile and walked with her to class.
"I have the same classes as you. If you ever need anything or have any questions you can tell me. Ok?" She said. Vixen nodded. This girl seemed a little too cheery. Something was up.
"I'm Vixen. You?" Vixen said. The girl paused and laughed.
"Silly me. I'm Kendra. Kendra Smith." She replied. Vixen rolled her eyes and continued to class. Despite this girl's weirdness, Vixen was happy for a friend.Math went by as fast as the other classes. Shale still had not made an appearance. Nearing the end of the day, Vixen thought he ditched her.
"You wanna hangout after school?" Kendra asked. Vixen turned to her and smiled.
"Sorry. Can't." She replied. Kendra looked defeted. She walked on with Vixen out the school doors.
"Vixen." Someone shouted. Vixen turned around. In front of his car was Shale. Kendra looked at Shale confused. She rushed over to him, Vixen not far behind.
"Shale? What are you doing here? I didn't see you all day?" Kendra asked. Shale looked past her at Vixen.
"Come on. I'll drive you home so you don't make anymore trouble." His voice was full of warning. Kendra turned from shale to Vixen.
"Waite. You know her? And she knows you?" Then the girls eyes lit up. A cheeky smile filled her face.
"You two are so a thing. Finally, Shale, you found someone willing to put up with your stubbornness." She giggled. Vixen's eyes widened. She started opening and closing her mouth like a fish with no water.
"No. We are not a thing. I'm helping her until she can remember who she is." He stated. Kendra frowned. She crossed her arms and turned around.
"Fine. I'm still shipping it. Bye, Shale. Bye, Vixen." She yelled and ran off. Vixen watched her and walked up to Shale. She narrowed her eyes.
"How do you know her?" She asked. Shale shrugged.
"Old friends, you could say." He whispered and jumped in the car. Vixen muttered something but jumped in the passenger seat. Shale started the car and drove away from the school. The more and more Vixen thought about her dreams, the more the questions piled up. She looked over at Shale. Something was off and one way or another she was going to get answers.Yes it's back. Sorry it took so long. So many secrets. All will be reviled soon. Updates will continue Fridays and Tuesdays. Hopefully. Thanks for sticking around.
