Vixen slipped on her shoes. Still shocked by her dream. She hadn't told it to Shale, figuring he'd think she was crazy. So Vixen kept her mouth shut, for the whole ride to school.

Shale followed Vixen into the school.
"What don't you have something better to do?" She asked. From what she'd seen he hadn't been to school for awhile.
"Shut up. I go here same as you." He hissed and stalked off. Vixen narrowed her eyes. What had him so pissed off?
"Hello. I see your arguing with your boyfriend." Someone said behind her. Vixen turned to see Kendra. She wore a large, mysterious smile. Vixen rolled her eyes, laughing
"We're not dating, but you and him? We're you two ever a thing?" She asked. Kendra's eyes widened. She burst out laughing.
"Me and Shale. The brooding vampire with a secretive past? As if I would never date him." He laughed. Vixen was taken back.
"Wait. You know he's a vampire?" She sputtered. Kendra laughed.
"Of course. I told you we were old friends. Besides. I'm a vampire to. Dah da da. Surprise." She giggled. Vixen relaxes a little. No wonder there was something strange about her.
"So why wouldn't you date Shale. He seems like the kind of guy every girl would go after." She asked. Kendra shrugged.
"I don't really date guys. Girls are way better anyways." She laughed. Vixen smiled. The small ball of jealousy in her chest evaporated.
"If your a vampire do you know about Mors?" Vixen asked Kendra. The girl went quite. Her smile turned to a frown.
"I know her. She's nothing but a murder." She hissed. Vixen was suprised. Kendra's voice had never held so much hate when she talked. Now, though, it was like the world had turned against her. Kendra shook her head and stalked off. Vixen growled but followed. It seemed like everyone today, was pissed.

"After school you should come over." Kendra asked as the bell rang. Vixen glanced over at Shale, who was already leaving the school. She shrugged and looked back at Kendra.
"Sure. I don't have anything else to do." She replied. They walked out of the school together and towards the town.
"Hey!" Shale shouted from behind her. Vixen turned around and began to walk backwards.
"I'm staying in town. I'll walk whenever I wanna come back." She yelled. Shale rolled his eyes but nodded. Vixen smiled and turned back around. She continued to walking away.
"So you live with your parents?" Vixen asked. Kendra shook her head.
"No. I live alone. I use to live with my brother but, ya know." She whispered. Vixen didn't know what she was talking about, but didn't continue the matter. It obviously wasn't something Kendra wanted to talk about. They walked in silence until they came to a small house.
"Is this where you live?" Vixen asked. Kendra nodded and ran up to the door. She unlocked it and Vixen followed her inside. The house was small but nice. The kitchen was made of white and black tile, with marble counters and red walls. The living room had brown walls and blue shag carpet. Vixen spun around in awe.
"Nice house. Didn't expect it to be this neat with only one person living here." Vixen said. Kendra smiled.
"Thanks but I don't like staying here much. It's not as fun as running around town." She said and set her bag down. Vixen did the same and followed her back outside. The sun was already hiding behind the horizon. Disappearing every hour. The sky blazed with beautiful colors. Each dancing to there own tune. Vixen smiled. Suprising that under those beautiful colors people were busy doing there own things. To busy to look up and enjoy the sky.
They all deserve to die. Vixen looked around, confused.
"Did you say that?" She asked Kendra. Kendra looked over at Vixen and shook her head.
"Say what? Are you hearing voices now?" She laughed. Vixen gave a weak smile and shrugged it off. It's probably nothing. Maybe some kids yelling somewhere, she thought. Though it didn't seem like it.

Vixen waved goodbye to Kendra and started off home. She paused. Something was sppose to happen that wasn't. Then it hit her.
"I completely blew off Mickelson. Hope he's the patient kind." She whispered and stared back into town. She walked by towering buildings and loud cars. Finally she came to the quite part of town. Keeping an eye out for any vampires that weren't friendly. She walked into the alley and was suprised to see Mickelson.
"Right. You took your time." He growled, slightly annoyed. Vixen smiled.
"I kinda forgot. Anyways you said you could tell me more. More about Shale and Mors." She said. Mickelson nodded.
"Walk and talk. This way." He said leading g her out the alley and down the sidewalk.
"Shale and Mors were a thing, weren't they?"
Mickelson stared at Vixen with narrowed eyes. He nodded, clearly confused.
"How do you know that?" He asked. Vixen thought it over. Should she tell him the truth or make something up. Finally deciding on what she was going to say, she spoke.
"I had a huch. More like a dream, but I wanted to confirm it." She stated. Mickelson looked at her with one eyebrow raised. He shrugged his shoulders and continued walking.
"Yes they were together. Mors was heartbroken when he betrayed us. She truly loved him. That's probably why she ordered us not to kill him. Sucks that we couldn't. Mors might still be here, now, if we had killed him." He whispered. There was a hint of regret in his voice. Vixen glanced at the ground.
"Can I ask you something?" She said. Mickelson nodded.
"Can you help answer my questions? Help me remember who I was before this?" She asked. Vixen knew it was a stupid thing to ask. He wasn't able to even be seen by Shale. Mickelson shrugged his shoulders and answered.
"Why not. Seems like Shale isn't doing that good of a job. I highly dought he's even informing you of your own kind. Do you know of daywalkers or Sun Stones?" He asked. Vixen shook her head and Mickelson sighed.
"Sun Stones are full of aichent magic with allows a vampire to go out in daylight. Daywalkers are rare vampires who don't need a Sun Stone. Such as Mors, Shale, and, from what it looks like, you." He said. Vixen tilted her head. Shale must have decided to tell her only what she needed to know. Vixen shot a glance at Mickelson.
"Don't you have one?" She asked. Mickelson laughed. He raised his hand to show her a gold ring with a sun carved into it.
"Some are made into rings, necklaces, anything to try and hide it." He said. Vixen looked forward. How much was Shale keeping from her? How much could she learn from Mickelson?
