My eyes shot open to the sound of blood thirsty growls from outside. Immediately I jump out of my bed, rushing to the window to get a better view of what was happening. I wanted to believe that it was just two wolves training but I knew I was wrong, the training field was at the other side of the field and their growls wouldn't have sounded so... Feral.
As soon as I got to the window the view in front of my confirmed my worries. They were not training, it was a war. I could see at least a two hundred rouge wolves attacking my pack members. I did a quick scan of the people trying to get a glimpse of either of my parents. I knew as Alpha and Luna it was mandatory they took part in any wars, leading them to 'victory'. As I scanned the pack I couldn't help but notice how badly wrong that term was today, not only did they have more warriors then us but they seamed well trained too, too good for rouges if you ask me.
As I was about half way through the wolves I spot my fathers dark brown wolf fighting against five rouges alone, my mother was a couple of feet away holding her own against two. My heart instantly sped up as I watched my dad loosing. Not wasting another second I fled from my window, sprinting down the stairs and outside the pack house. I didn't care that I was still in my hello kitty pjs or that my hair probably looked like a birds nest, the only thing that concerned me was my parents safety.
As I reached the door step, I ripped the door open mid-sprint and continued out the front door. I didn't have a plan I just needed to help. I was about 20 meters away. I weaved through all the wolves, avoiding lunges and paws from all directions. Determination flooding through my bones.
I was 10 feet away when it happened. I watched as a wolf got a good bite of my mothers stomach, making her whine out in pain. That's all it took to distract my father. As soon as his head snapped to my mothers direction a wolf pounced, going straight for the kill.
I felt my world shatter around me as my dads wolf slumped to the floor next to my mums. I watched as their fur turned back into skin and they laid there together motionless, dead.
My steps flattered to a halt, unsure what to do next. It's like my world froze. I couldn't take my eyes of my parents knowing I'd never see them again. Knowing I'd be parentless, knowing my little brother would have to grow up without them.
I could hear the howls of joy from the rouges, indicating their victory. I could hear the pack going crazy through mind link but nothing seamed to register. Not when I had just witnessed the death of my world.
I don't know how long I stood there but next thing I know I hear shouting, I'm too out of it to listen to a word that was being said but not a minute later a hand grips my shoulder tight. I instantly spin around to come face to face with a man. By the smell of him I could tell he was rouge, he looked about 35 with messy dark brown hair and dark emotionless eyes.
"Why haven't you lined up yet pup?" He sneered at me. It wasn't till then that I saw my pack all lined up against the house with their heads down in shame. Most of the rouges had shifted to their human forms now and we're watching them, making sure that none stepped out of line.
Hastily I got into line, I wasn't one to obey rules but I needed to know what they wanted, why they had done this and if getting in line was the only way to find out then I would. I saw many wolves looking at me out of the corner of their eyes as I got into line. I was well known for disobeying orders and getting into fights, I did after all have alpha blood in me.
As I stepped into line the leader had a deadly smile on his face. I could see he was enjoying every second of this, the sick fuck.
"Alright ladies, gentlemen and pups," the leader roared. "You have two choices, join me or death."
As soon as them words left his lips the whole crowd burst into whispers, I could see the panic flood through everyone's expression. I knew no one would stand up to him, I watched as most of the best warriors were taken down.
"As I have defeated your alpha this land belongs to me, if you have something to say you best speak now!" His voice boomed with so much power and authority behind it. Instantly I step forward, taking a look back at all my pack.
I look over at Rosalinda out of the corner of my eye. She was a middle-aged woman who was good friends with my parents. I knew I could trust her with my life, or more importantly my brothers.
'Look after Freddie will you?' I mind link. When I see her give a slight nod I know he's in the safe. As long as he got a better life, I don't care what they do to me.
"I won't let you tear down everything my father built you vile dog! This pack land belongs to us," I seethed. Instantly his eyes snapped to mine, I could see humour and joy behind his eyes making mine scrunch up in confusion.
"Looky what we have here, alphas little girls got a mouth to her! Let me tell you something girly, I don't play fair," he chuckled. "Guys get her!"
All at once five men came towards me, I hastily got in battle stance. As the first one came at me I ducked under his fist elbowing him in the ribs and as he bent down I slammed my knee into his face. He instantly crumpled on the floor as the next came for me. I dived at him smashing my fist straight into his nose and breaking it before stomping on his friends foot distracting him and sending my first down hard on his ribs. As I dived for the next guy I felt someone grab me from behind, I kicked backwards feeling it hit hard but whoever it was didn't let go, instead they brought their arm round my neck, making it hard for me to breathe. I tried getting out of his hold but the more I struggled the tighter his hold got. Eventually I stopped struggling.
"Let this be a warning to you all! This is what happens when you go against me," he growled. "Take her to the warehouse!"
I struggled against his hold, kicking my foot back hoping to connect with something soft unfortunately it was impossible. I send one last look at Rosalinda, seeing the promise behind her gaze. Soon enough I felt a searing pain in the back of my skull. Black spots began to flood my sight. I tried fighting them off afraid that if I didn't I wouldn't have another chance to escape.
My fights weren't strong enough because seconds later everything went black.
