Unrepairable

Part Five

Damon's P.O.V

I was sitting at my desk doing paperwork when my wolf started going mad inside my head. I wasn't sure what he was so hyper about but I shut him out focusing on my work. As the alpha I had a lot of work to do daily involving the pack. I was nearly finished for the day when my beta mind-linked me.

'Alpha we've spotted a rouge on the territory'

A frown instantly took over my face. Rouge sightings had gone down a lot in the last few months and I was hoping it would stay that way.

'Does he look like a threat?' I asked, giving the rouge the benefit of the doubt.

'She and no, she looks super skinny'

A female rouge traveling on her own? That was rare. Dropping my pen on the desk I stood up straightening my trousers.

'Surround her, I'll be there in a minute' I confirmed, making my way downstairs and out the house.

'Yes alpha'

I cut off the link after that, making my way towards where he was. The closer I got the more restless my wolf got in the back of my mind. It started to confuse me until I smelt it. It smelt like vanilla and cherries, the most intoxicating smell I'd ever had a chance to sniff. Instantly I started running towards them wanting to meet my mate after waiting for years. See you're meant to find your mate at the age of 16 but after waiting 3 years for mine I was sure she'd live in a different country.

A massive smile took over my face, I'd been waiting too long for this day. My smile instantly dropped as I spotted them in the distance. I watched as my beta bit into her side. Her face was void of emotions as she looked down at his jaw. As he let go I watched as she stumbled forward, making me pick up my speed again hoping to get to her before she fell. Unfortunately I wasn't that lucky because a second later she tripped, hitting her head on the floor in the process. An angry roar escaped his throat.

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY MATE?" I bellowed, watching her eyes shut.

The four instantly shifted back into their human form putting on shorts. They looked up at me with a scared expression.

"She hit Tony and tried to escape alpha," he mumbled. "I bit her."

I wanted to shout at them, punish them and then kill them but my wolf brought me back down to earth.

'Mate is on floor, take her doctor'

Thats all it took to snap me back to reality. I lightly picked up her tiny frame running with her in my arms to the pack hospital.

As I entered the front door every doctor and nurse snapped their heads to me. When they saw the figure slumped in my arms Dr.Averly run towards me.

"Alpha, who's this?" She asked politely.

"She's my mate Nick bit her," I grumbled out. Her eyes went wide for a second.

"Please follow me," she ordered taking off down the hallway and into her room.

Once we were both inside I gently placed her down onto the hospital bed.

For the first time I looked over her appearance. Her body was too skinny, almost like she'd never been fed. Her cheekbones we're hollow and she had big black circles under her eyes. Her hair looked like it hadn't been brushed or cut in years and her skin looked pure white .

Looking back at the doctor I saw her already staring at me. Almost as if she was waiting for something.

"Alpha, could you leave the room so I can have her checked over?" She asked nicely but I didn't want to.

"She's my mate and I refuse to leave her side," I demand with my alpha tone.

She bows automatically. "Of course, just please try to stay out of my way."

I hastily agree, as long as I could stand near my mate I didn't mind. I watched from the side as she lifted filthy jumper up to look at her side. There was a massive bite mark there but that isn't what caught my attention, instead it was all the scars and big purple bruises covering her stomach, ribs and chest. I felt my wolf rising at the thought of someone doing this to his mate.

The doctor notices this too. I watched as her eyes glasses over mind-linking someone. When my beta and third in command come in seconds later I realise what she did.

"Come on alpha, I can see your wolf fighting for control in your eyes. Let the doctor do her work, she'll mind-link you when she's done." My beta persuaded.

I angrily storm out of the hospital, shifting into my wolf and taking off running.

'Alpha, I have finished.'

After hours of running the doctor finally got back to me. Fear took over my body at the thought of what would have taken so long. Sprinting my way towards the hospital again, I stop outside seeing one of the doctors holding out a pair of shorts for me. Quickly shifting and sliding them on and continue my way to my mates room.

As I push the door open to her room her intoxicating smell calms me down a little. I see the doctor standing by the table at the far end of her room looking through some papers. As the door slams shut she turns to face me with a look of pity on her face. My wolf gets would up again, how dare she pity us but I keep it calm for my mate.

"What's wrong with her?" I ask.

"Well quite a few things actually alpha. For starters she has a lot of wolvesbane in her system like someone's been injecting her for years, her body doesn't have an ounce of fat on it and she's majorly underweight and lacking nutrients. Every inch of her body is also covered in scars and bruises and she's got four broken ribs and a sprained wrist."

Every time she mentioned something new I felt my heart break a little more. My wolf was howling in my mind, heartbroken himself.

"What about her wolf?" I questioned. "Is she okay?"

"Her wolf is barely there. It could go either one of two ways, she could get stronger now what the wolvesbane has stopped being injected or she can continue getting weaker until she disappears," the doctor explained.

I felt so sorry for my mate, she'd been through a lot and she didn't look older then 16. Sitting in the chair beside her bed I grabbed her hand wishing for her to wake up.
