Light and Dark's War Days

Episode 22, "Cold Icylands"

In the last episode, The Heroes had finally go through the Erupting Volcanoes and acquired a Fire Gem. Now, they must pass the Cold, Freezing Icylands.

They were almost reaching to the Inn. Once they reached it, they had a rest for a day. With Lunch and Dinner.

~The Next Day~

The Heroes had lunch and finally went to the Icylands with their winter clothes.

"Brr... It's really cold..." Kassie shivered. Even though she's wearing winter clothes.

"Here. Let me warm you up." Astrea said as he created a small fire to make her feel warm.

"Thanks, Astrea.." She finally went warm. Her body was about her normal temperature of a human body.

"Thanks, Astrea. I appricieate it." X said while he was smiling, holding Kassie's hand.

"Aruna said that we must across..." Chris pointed at the huge ice lake.

"That." The Heroes stopped. They looked shocked.

"Oh.. This is not good.." They were right in front of a huge sized of a frozen lake.

"Is there any other ways?" Kassie said. She looked worried.

Chris looked around the lake. There's an easier way to get there.

"Oh, look! We can go around it." The Heroes looked relieved. They walked around the frozen lake without a single problem.

"That was easy.." X said.

Then, they saw something. It was covered in thick ice. Once they got closer, it's a statue.

"We need to burn it down. Astrea, if you please." Chris said as everyone except Astrea stepped back.

"I'll do it." Astrea grabbed the Fire Gem. He transformed into a Fire Human. So, he melts the thick ice. Once he finished, he went back to normal.

"Thanks." Chris said. X was walking towards the statue, breaking it. And then, he took the Water Gem.

"Well. Looks like i own the Water Gem." X said. Kassie smiled.

"Now, shall we get-" Then, the big ice pool behind them was finally cracked. They suddenly looked back and suprised. Once it breaks, a huge monster appeared. It was a Water Guardian.

"Run!" John said as the Heroes ran away to the other side of the Icylands.

The Guardian threw so many snowballs. The Heroes somehow ran to a shelter. They went to it and took cover.

"Phew.... We're safe..." Kassie said as the Heroes took a deep breath.

"The Guardian looked very mad. Those snowballs could have killed us!" Astrea said.

"Snowballs? I thought it wouldn't be hurt." Tom said.

"Its different than what you think, Tom." Chris said to Tom.

Kassie sighed. She shivered after getting cold from the cold temperature. X hugged her for warming her up.

"T-thanks, X..." Kassie blushed.

The huge roar can be heard from them. Chris was thinking of a plan to escape from them.

"Alright, we need to find a way to-"
When he looked around, he founded a door that was leaded to the other side of the house. He went there, opening it slowly.

"Hey.. Guys. Come over here. We can escape from here."
He whispers to the others to escape the house. The Monster was still raging, not noticing them.

They finally escaped the Icylands. They seemed to be relieved. But also, tired. As usual, Aruna appears from the sky, falling  down softly.

"Looks like you've found the Water Gem. X, you have been chosed to use the Water Gem. Use it wisely." Aruna said.

"Man.. We've escaped from that monster- If not, we would had been killed..." John said while he was kinda panicked.

"Yeah.. Anyway, where shall we headed next?"
Chris said.

After Chris said, Tom said with an answer to the next destination.

"To the Stormy Thunders. The Thunder Gem is not on a statue, this time. Its on a Monster."
Tom said, explaining where the Thunder Gem is. Usually, Gems are putted into the statues. But this time, the Gem is on a Monster. Probably a strong one.

Aruna somehow looked impressed. She was suprised after Tom said about the Stormy Thunders.

"My, Tom. How did you know about it?"
She asked, looking at Tom.

"I traveled there before. I was on my way to a place where i can get to rest. While exploring the Stormy Thunders, there lies a Monster who protects the Gem. I had to escape from him without getting noticed. Or else, i would have been dead."
Tom said, telling how did he knew about Stormy Thunders. The others nodded. They seemed to understand about the story.

"That sounds... Dangerous..."
Kassie said, showing a little terrified face. X somehow noticed and rubbed her back.

"There, there. You'll be fine. As long as we're here by your side, you don't have to worry about it."
X comforted her. Kassie somehow smiled and letted out a relieved sigh.

"Now, we shall get to a place to rest, first. We shall continue our journey to there tomorrow."
Tom said. Aruna and the others nodded softly and started to walk towards to an Inn that was just about close towards the Stormy Thunders.
