Naruto: Ninja Academy

Chapter One - First Day Back

Brrriiinnng...brrriiinnng...I slowly raise my hand lazily to switch off my alarm. I open my eyes and get out of bed to open the curtains. The sun is shining brightly, what a nice day it is today. 'Oh' I just remembered 'its my first day back at the Academy'.

"Morning Ino! wake up you don't want to be late on your first day back, do you?" Mum says as she comes into my bedroom,

"Morning Mum, Yeah I was just getting up now" I reply,

"Ok well I'll go make some breakfast" Mum says.

I get my clothes on; a short purple vest, a purple apron skirt, two white elbow warmers, and bandages wrapped around my stomach and legs. I look in the mirror to place in my small silver earrings. I also tie my waist length blonde hair into a high ponytail, leaving some hair down as a side fringe. There I'm ready now.

I walk down to the kitchen. Mum is making some breakfast and Dad is sipping coffee whilst reading a newspaper.

"I'm going to school now" I say as I grab an apple on the table,

"Ok here's your bento box for lunch" Mum replies and passes it to me,

"Enjoy your day, I've got to go to work now" Dad says.

"Thanks Mum. Bye!" I say. Dad works in Konoha's Torture and Interrogation Division he can read peoples mind because our clans Jutsu is Mind Jutsu's - I can do the Mind Transfer Jutsu which allows me to enter someone else's mind so I can control their actions. The Mind Jutsu's are unique to the Yamanaka Clan meaning no one else can use this Jutsu.

I slip my ninja sandals on and go out of my house via our flower shop called 'Yamanaka Flowers'.

Our clan (Yamanaka clan) own this shop which sells all sorts of flowers, almost any flowers you can think of. My Mum works in here and on the weekends I help out too. I step out of the house. Wow I can smell beautiful fragrant flowers, I take a deep breath. I start to walk down the street towards Konoha's Ninja Academy and take a bite out of my apple (my breakfast).

I've finally arrived at the Academy...It feels like I haven't been here in ages, its only been a couple of weeks - a whole Summer Vacation. I have to admit I kind of missed this place. I wonder who my teacher will be?...I really don't want to be in the same class as Naruto Uzumaki. He is a really irritating and loud boy. He wants to be recognized and that's why he messes around all the time. All he is is a nuisance and a troublemaker.

He says he'll become Hokage someday - the most highly respected ninja in the whole of the Hidden Leaf Village, our leader. Pfft like someone like him will ever become Hokage.

Someone tapped me on my shoulder...I turn around.

"Hi there Hinata" I say,

"Oh hi Ino" Hinata whispers only loud enough for me to hear. She's always been so shy around everyone and only really talks to me. I guess that's why were best friends.

She's got dark blue bob hair with some long hair dangling down on the sides of her face, and she's got light purple eyes which possess the byakugan. The byakugan is a kekkei genkai in the Hyuga clan which allows the user to see from far distances and see through things, the Hyuga clan is the oldest and most famous clan in the Hidden Leaf village.

Shikamaru and Choji are walking up to me and Hinata. Choji is holding a crisp packet stuffing his face - having the time of his life, eating his favourite flavour Barbeque. Shikamaru has his hands placed in his pockets, always looking so relaxed and always in a chilled mood, not really bothered about anything. It feels so great to be back here with all my best friends! "Hi you two!" I greet,

"Hey!" Choji says with a mouth full of Barbeque crisps,

"Oh hi Ino, Hinata...it was such a drag...Choji decided he wanted to buy some snacks on the way to school so we had to walk all the way back to the stores just to buy them." Shikamaru complains in his can't-be-bothered tone of voice. I just laugh at them two.

I've been best friends with Shikamaru and Choji for a long time, longer than I've been friends with Hinata. You see my Dad (Inoichi) is best friends with Shikamaru's Dad (Shikaku) and Choji's Dad (Chouza). And because they were best friends they introduced their children to each other. Our Dad's together were known as Inoshikacho, as they all made a great team together, I guess you could say that we are the younger generation of the Inoshikacho.

Ding...dong...ding....dong...the bell chimes "That signals the start of class" I state,

"Erm...Hinata what class are we in?"

"We're all in Iruka Sensei's class" she replies.

We all walk into Iruka Sensei's class together and choose a seat near the back. I sit down and Hinata sits to my right. Choji is munching loudly next to me, nearly into my earhole. Whilst Shikamaru sits on the other side of Choji staring into thin air, looking like he'd rather be anywhere else in the world other than here, as he finds school (and nearly anything which you have to use your brain) 'such a drag'...

I can see Naruto sitting there hyper as ever, grinning at who knows what, looking like he's planning something mischievous. I can also see Sasuke! The most good looking boy in our year! No the most good looking boy in our entire Academy! Sasuke Uchiha. He's sitting there looking calm and relaxed as ever. The boys are jealous of him and want to be just like him. The girls are staring at him longingly and yet Sasuke just ignores all of them and doesn't react to them at all. He always ignores people and acts cool all the time. He also has the highest grades in our class. Every girl admires Sasuke...well almost everyone...By that I mean Hinata doesn't like him.

His most number one fan is..."Billboard brow!" I exclaim carelessly,

"Ino Pig!" Sakura almost yells out as she comes strolling in. She glances around and spots Sasuke, "Oh Sasuke I missed you soooo much! Oh wow you even saved a seat for me next to you! Look at that Karin!" She flicks her pink hair to the side.

"Whatever Sakura! Look he saved one for me too!" Karin says whilst taking off her glasses and tossing her bright red hair aside. Sasuke just sits there looking annoyed.

"There so blind! Cant they see Sasuke doesn't care for them at all!" I say annoyed and frustrated.

"Hey Sakura don't sit next to Sasuke come sit here with me!" Naruto says patting to the empty seat next to him, looking like a gormless baka.

However Sakura just ignored him and keeps staring at Sasuke.

Hinata is twiddling her fingers - one of her habits, she usually does this when she's nervous.

"Good morning class" Iruka Sensei says whilst coming into the class room, "Everyone find a seat and sit down, I expect everyone to be well behaved and follow the normal Academy rules...."

"Its time for bedtime now Ino" Mum states whilst coming into my bedroom.

"Yeah I know" I reply. I comb my long blonde hair. Outside I can see the moon so beautiful...standing out from the pitch black sky. Little stars are surrounding the moon scattered everywhere...

I get into bed and tuck myself in.

"Goodnight" Mum says to me and kisses my forehead. My eyelids slowly shut...and I slowly drift off to sleep...
