Chapter Seven - Permission

I walk home with Shikamaru and Choji, the letter in my hand. I hope Mum and Dad will let me go.

"It sounds like fun!...The fair I mean." I say excited to them two,

"Yeah but also sounds like such a drag, having to travel all the way to the Sand Village just to go to a fair" Shikamaru says whilst putting his hands behind his head,

"I'm going to buy lots of Sand Village cuisine...I wonder if their foods any good...I mean Ichiraku Ramen is the best here, wonder they have any decent ramen..." Choji rambles on, daydreaming of food.

"Choji you know you could try talking about something else instead of food for once." I tell him but instead he just ignores me.

"So do you two do you think your parents will let you go?"

"Yeah." They both reply in unison. We walk in silence for a while. I wonder what the fairs going to be like...I can imagine lots of people bustling about and smell the sweet aroma of candy...

"Hey seeya tomorrow guys!" I wave to Shikamaru and Choji as I step inside the flower shop. Shikamaru just nods whilst Choji smiles widely and waves back to me. Ding-a-ling the bell tinkles.

"Hiya sweetie! How was school today, hm?" Mum says smiling, standing behind the till.

"Ok I suppose." I say. Mum has her brown hair tied back into a bun and she's wearing her favourite outfit: her dark purple long dress. Its weird that she's got brown hair and I don't look anything like her. I actually take after my Dad, everyone says that but its true. We both have long blonde hair, and overall we look similar.

"Anyways, Mum theres a school trip tomorrow..." I hand her the letter.

"Ok I'll read it but you go put your school stuff away, ok?" Mum tells me, I just give her a nod, take off my shoes and go through the back door of the shop which leads to our house.

I go up the stairs and into my bedroom. Under my feet I can feel the fluffy carpet going inbetween my toes. I place my bright turquoise rucksack near my wardrobe. I crouch down and pull out my school books...'Ninjutsu, Taijutsu and Genjutsu' was the title of one of the textbooks and the other book read 'Facts about Chakra'. For homework I was expected to revise a bit of the textbooks, I think I'll do it tonight. I put the books onto my desk.

"Ino! Dinners ready!" Mum calls from downstairs,

"Coming Mum!" I yell back just as loud.

When I enter the kitchen I can see Mum and Dad already sat at the table, and in the middle of the table is a mixture of different sushi's.

"Mum...Dad so can I go to the school trip?" I ask and take a seat at the table,

"Yeah sure you can Ino." Mum says handing me the letter back with her signature on it. I give her a big smile.

Outside my bedroom window its pitch black, and I can hear an owl hooting. I pack my rucksack full of clothes and access stuff to take for the trip, I can't wait to go! I'm so excited I don't think I can sleep!
