Chapter Five - Looney

I am sitting down on the till, resting my face on my hand staring out the shop window at the people passing by. I am so envious of everyone enjoying the sun outside, free to do whatever they want whilst I'm sat here having to work. On weekends I usually hang out with Hinata, Shikamaru and Choji. Or I go shopping...ding-a-ling.

I sit up. "Welcome to Yamanaka Flowers! How may I help y-" I stop what I was about to say as I saw it was a pink haired girl coming in. And I thought my day couldn't get any worse.

"Ino Pig!" Sakura says scowling - making her look even uglier than she actually is (if thats even possible),

"Billboard Brow! Why did you come in here?" I say,

"Well to buy some flowers duh! Why else? Are you that dumb?" She stated.

I just ignore her, I don't even want to waste my breath on her.

"Well I'll take these please" She says in a sickly sweet way. She hands me a red rose. Red roses are the flowers of passionate love, it makes me feel sick. I know straight away its for Sasuke. It doesn't exactly take a genius to know. I wrap the red rose in a little bouquet,

"That would be 852.38 yens please" I say. She hands me the money and leaves without a word.

Shikamaru and Choji walk into my shop.

"Hey Ino whats with the glum look?" Choji asks me,

"You'll never guess what happened..." I explain all the events that happened including my fight with Naruto to me being grounded.

"Whoa! A month thats pretty harsh, huh?" Shikamaru says.

I just stare into space.

"You know...I have a great idea!" Choji announces,

We both just look at him surprised.

"I'll buy you some barbeque flavored crisps, then at least you won't be bored!"

"You idiot hows that supposed to help!" Shikamaru says,

"Choji you know your not exactly helping my situation... " I complain.

I quickly get up out of bed and get dressed. I rush out of my house to find Hinata, Shikamaru and Choji waiting for me.

"Hi" Shikamaru greets, Hinata just waves and Choji gives me a smile.

"Hiya!" I say to them all. Today I'm in a very happy mood! You see a months been up! And so we all decided to go out to eat in BBQ to celebrate that I'm not grounded anymore!

We all walk together to BBQ (Choji's favourite place!)

I take a seat at a table, with Hinata next to me and Shikamaru and Choji opposite. Choji straight away grabs the menu to decide what to order.

Shikamaru takes a menu too and looks through it.

Arf arf! A familiar dog barks. Kiba walks inside, spots us and comes over. 'Ok Ino' I think to myself, 'I've got to calm down and act cool.'

'He's coming over here...Don't say anything stupid and don't do anything stupid' I can feel myself blush. Damn it! Do I really have to blush?

"Hey guys!" Kiba says to all of us. 'Ino say something' I tell myself.

"Hi Dad" I say. What the hell! Did I really just say that! They all stare at me like I'm a total looney. Shikamaru raises his eyebrows and Choji stops looking at his menu to look at me jaw open. I go bright red and feel like I want to sink into my seat and be swallowed up by the ground.
