Chapter Four - Consequences

Ding-a-ling...I step inside whilst panting, hands on knees, facing the floor. I ran all the way home never stopping for breath. The fragrance of all the flowers around me hits my nose.

Mum comes storming in with Dad following behind her. I can see that Mum has been crying her eyes out, eyes red and raw. Dad hasn't been crying but his eyebrows are creased in a worried expression.

"Where have you been!?" Mum suddenly cries out,

"I-" I try to explain but Dad cuts in,

"Right, calm down. At least she's safe here with us" He rests his hand on Mum's shoulder.

Mum gives me a big hug, "You silly, silly girl! We nearly went to the Anbu Black Ops because we thought you were missing! But luckily your Dad said to wait a bit longer..."

Dad tells me to clean up and says we can discuss this tomorrow as its late, (fortunately they didn't ask why I looked so beat up), so I go up stairs to take a shower.

I come out of the shower and I'm so tired! So I get into bed letting the duvet embrace me, forgetting what has happened today.

I wake up to the sound of Mum talking. Is she talking to Dad? I look at my digital alarm clock it reads 10:00AM. It can't be Dad then because he's at work already. She must be on the phone, wonder why?

I quickly get dressed into my usual weekend clothes: an orange t-shirt and a navy blue knee length skirt. And I tie my hair up in a high ponytail.

I walk out of my room and down the stairs. I pause in the middle of the stairs as I hear Mum talking.

"Right. Yes. Once again I am very sorry for Ino's actions, and I will talk to her about it." Mum apologizes and puts the phone down. She lets out a sigh. I know what this is about...

I dig my finger nails into my palms. I brace myself for the lecture thats about to come. I continue to walk down the stairs and into the kitchen.

Mum sees me, and puts her hands on her hips looking very disappointed.

"Ino. Didn't I tell you NOT to get into trouble? You've never got into big trouble. And what were you thinking using the MIND TRANSFER JUTSU! Me and your Dad specifically told you ONLY to use it in a case of emergency. You don't know how upset and angry I am at you!" Mum scolds me.

I just avert my eyes to the ground. My Mum has never had to yell at me this much. But she should be at least glad I didn't seriously injure him, I probly only bruised him but thats about it.

"But...He started on me fir-" I try to reason with her,

"No, I don't care who started it! You still acted back!" She says furiously,

"Your going to be grounded for a month! You can't hang out with your friends, you can't do anything but work in the flower shop, do your homework and go to school!"

Arrgghh! This has to be my WORST weekend EVER! For a whole month! You must be kidding!

"And you can start working now." Mum says as she handed me my yellow apron.

I put the apron on reluctantly and walk towards the flower shop, I feel like I'd rather stay in Naruto's body for a whole month than do this.
