Chapter 2: Opposites for a Day

We decided to head back to the cottage, still trying to figure out what personality I've got.

"Hey you two are back!" Lyra waved at us, making everyone look at us.

"Y-y-yeah..." Zhion stuttered.

"Zhion you aren't one to stutter, what's wrong?"

"The blueberries."

"Oh." Lyra just nodded.

I whispered, "Say, Zhion, wanna hunt down some forest goons?"

"S-sure?"

"Great come on!"

I grabbed his hand as we dashed for the door and out into the forest again.

"Three, over there!" I leapt from tree to tree, Zhion behind me.

"Jeez come on, try keeping up!" I rolled my eyes and glared at him, which made him nervous. Wait... maaaaybe... MAYBE WE SWITCHED PERSONALITIES?! PFFT I'M BEING A BADASS HERE!

Anyway, I quickly took the orb out my pocket and summoned my energy bow. I charged three energy arrows from my other free hand, and placed them all at once. When it was set, I released my pull from the string, shooting all the three goons at once, and vanished in a puff of black smoke.

"Pffft they'd better know they're weaklings and nothings."

I quickly put my hand over my mouth. Jeez, I'd never speak like this!

I just shrugged it off and decided to just rest in a nearby lake.

"Zhion, come on!"

He nodded, following close by.

We stopped by, drinking from the lake.

"Ugh darn it, this is gonna last like a whole day! Which is already making me impatient!"

"Well, I-I guess be th-thankful it's only for a day."

"Ehh I guess."

There were hours of silence between us. He dozed off, while I just looked at the dim forest. I guess it's time to head back, it's getting dark.

"Oi, Zhion. Get your butt up, we're going back to the cottage, they might be finding us by now."

He stretched his arms and stood up.

"Come on."

When we reached the cottage, I was really starving.

I started getting pudding, cake, cookies, bread, cupcakes, biscuits— yep, sweets. I'm dead crazy about 'em. Well, I guess until now. Never knew Zhion was THAT crazy for sugar.

Everyone was staring at me as I gobbled up the foods I took, while Zhion took it easy, nibbled and savored every bite.

"Night." I went to my room and forgetting to take off my cape, went straight to bed.

Grodella's POV

Something smells FISHY between these two. It's almost as if Riley's the badass, and Zhion's miss prissy innocent princess. Almost as if... they've changed personality. Riley did mention about the blueberries they ate earlier, particularly the one that changes personalities.

Ehh it's just for one day, it'll be normal tomorrow.

Anyway, I decided to sleep over at Lyra and Lyca's room here in the cottage, since Riley's grandma and Mrs. Redberry were kind enough to let me, Lyra, Lyca, Zhion, Marcus, Bill and Edward stay in for the night.

"OKAY, LISTEN UP!"

Lyca clapped twice, getting my, as well as Lyra's attention.

"I proposed a game— you know, truth or dare."
