Riley's POV
"Look, uh, Zhion's ex girlfrien—"
"Rosella."
"Rosella, jeez go away, I'm trying to live the rest of my life without any conflicts as such."
"Tch, more like you ruined mine. Ever since you came in Zhion's life, it ruined mine. His attention is always on you, you guys have more menories spent than we should have—"
"Brat, don't you remember I dumped you?"
"That's aside the point! Why'd you even be friends with someone who became your enemy on the first day of classes."
"Cause she— she's special. Always been my special friend.
"Tch, can't even tell Riley how you really feel."
They were conversing as if I wasn't there. Jeez.
And what does Rosella even mean?
"Why can't we just be friends..."
"CAUSE I'M JEALOUS! You're pretty, perfect, smart, talented! Everything! Happy?!"
I shook my head, "Sorry you felt that way. And just so you know, you're perfect just by being yourself, you know." I said, laying my hand on her shoulder, which made her smile.
"Wow... it kind of feels better to hear someone say that... thanks Riley, you really are the best—"
"WE CAME IN HERE AS FAST AS WE COULD!" Grodella shouted.
Bill said, "Grodella, uh I think they're—"
"HANG ON RILEY, I AM GOING TO SAVE YOUR BUTT FROM THAT HAG!"
"...alright." Bill sighed as he rolled his eyes, stopping Grodella.
"Oh, right, I knew that." she said, sheepishly scratching the back of her head.
Rosella then each went to the others one by one, saying the deepest of her apologies, which they gladly accepted.
"Guess it's time for us to head to the clinic to at least see how Lavender's doing—"
"GOOD, CAUSE I'VE BEEN HOLDING MY GRUDGE!" Thomas said, dashing back ahead of us, which made us laugh.
"Ah jeez, that guy never fails to worry about Lavender." Rosella said, laughing. I'm really glad we got to go along at the end of the day— or maybe, this is just the beginning of our great friendship.
Thomas' POV
THANK HEART JEWELS I CAN GO SEE HER NOW! I've really been holding my grudge all those time.
Anyway, I dashed headlong before the group and made it to the clinic first, obviously.
"Excuse me ma'm, where's Lavender?"
She smiled and pointed at a purple door. I nodded as my thanks and went in, being in pure relief after seeing her lying down the bed, sleeping peacefully.
I kissed her forehead and she slowly moved and woke up, "Th-Thomas...?"
"Hey, I'm back. I came here to tell you also that Rosella and Riley are on good terms now— she even told me to tell her apologies to you too— since I... went ahead the others and ran back here..." I said, scratching the nape of my neck.
"Pfft, you're sweet— and tell her I am eager to talk to her when I get out—"
"Lavender, I'm so sorry!"
"Pfft, like Thomas said. Anyway, I accept."
Rosella hugged her and sighed, but Lavender did hear it.
"Something wrong...?"
"N-nothing, it's just that, you all are couples—"
"NOT, all...!"
Riley and Zhion both said in chorus, giving each other a look of disgust and then a laugh.
"Then ALMOST all of you, and I guess I was so busy trying to get my revenge, I... never thought about getting a boyfriend... or something like that."
Grodella said, "Well, you will eventually, they say it all starts with friendship." she nudges Bill who was smiling, and quickly glanced at Riley and Zhion, then quickly turned back at Rosella.
Rosella nodded as she hugged Lavender.
"That hug really made me feel better, both in terms of friendship and literally."
"Tch, what, my kiss on the forehead thing wasn't effective?" Thomas said, crossing his arms and rolling his eyes.
Lavender giggled, "Yes, Thomas, it's effective too."
Lavender was discharged from the clinic, so we were all free to go back to just, have that dance.
The loud music was suddenly interrupted by the slow dance, causing everyone to stop and grab a hold of their partners. This was my perfect opportunity to officially make her my girlfriend... since Elisa only forced us back at the hotel.
She was about to stop and rest her hand on my shoulder, her other hand on my left hand, as I knelt on one knee, and now holding both her hands.
"Lavender, will you be my girlfriend?"
Our other friends squealed, causing the other people among the crowd to look at us, and cheer as well.
She shed a tear and helped me up and hugged me, "Yes!"
Scratch that. The only non-couple in our group of friends, were obviously Riley and Zhion. They say it all starts with friendship, just like them, and all of us as well.
Though the only thing blocking the way for them being in a relationship, is that they're both playing hard to get.
Nice huh? *please insert sarcastic tone*
Anyway, we then waltzed around like the others, which we really found enjoyable.
Oh and since from what I heard from my other friends, they did say Riley was Zhion's pretend girlfriend, but then he just confirmed that they'll only be best friends, since calling her that makes it look like they're still enemies, or something like that.
I took a quick glance at them, glad to see those two dancing and getting along.
I checked my watch, and it was already 9 pm, which means the party was going to end soon.
We both stopped dancing to take a break before going home.
"Everything turned out great tonight, huh?" Lavender said, playing with her fingers.
I made a hum of agreement, as we both stood up, said our goodbyes to the others, as Alec and I decided to go ahead and bring Elisa and Lavender home safe.
I slightly growled in annoyance when I remembered all about Zhion and Riley. Darn it, why can't they just tell each other how they feel?
"Thomas are you okay...?" Lavender said, resting her hand on my shoulder.
"Yeah... just annoyed with the fact that Riley and Zhion aren't a thing yet."
"You could say that again, I've been thinking of a plan FOREVER just to get them together, like all of us!" Elisa said, slightly pouting, which made us laugh.
"Tell you guys what, Christmas Party and the holiday vacations' in a few weeks. Maybe we can get them to be together, since they did say only couples can attend that event, and almost everyone here in school's already a couple."
We all nodded at Alec's plan, thank goodness the holiday season's only a few weeks away. We have so much plans in mind for those two, we just have to tell the others about it.
