Grodella's POV

Although I still am not used to it, Riley and Zhion are getting along pretty well. I am assuming they started off as friends, anyway.

Anyway, Bill belongs to Year 1, Class 1, the smartest class in 1st Year.

Since I belong to Class 3, I often ask him for help in lessons and subjects I have a hard time in, and hey, he's a sweerheart for always never ceasing to help me.

Anyway I guess I'll just be telling some of the stuff that's happened to me since I met this guy.

Well, at first it's been really awkward, mainly because I suck at talking to other people I don't even know. But anyway, I've ask him to help me a couple of times for my past homeworks, so he is mainly the reason I get straight As. Then, over the weekend, he'd text me and try starting the conversations with corny jokes, which never failed to make me laugh whenever I feel down. Then we continued this routine for days, until we officially called ourselves best friends. Nice huh?

Anyway, I helped him put his stuff at his locker, since then we remembered that Riley invited us to watch the soccer practice later with her, so we did come. After he was done putting back all his stuff in the locker, we agreed to walk together to the bleachers to where Elisa and the others were sitting.

I told him jokes, specifically the ones I told Elisa the other day, when I invited her over my house, which really made her laugh, like how Bill is laughing about it right now.

After soccer, we all headed home, and I quickly texted Bill, since it is Saturday tomorrow.

Hey wanna go to Twist Park to hang out?
8:40 PM, You

My heart jumped and raced when I heard my phone rang quickly.

Sounds fun! Pick you up tomorrow at 7am?"
8:41 PM, Bill

I was already smiling and blushing like an idiot, that I forgot to reply.

Yeah see you tomorrow!
8:43 PM, You

I turned my phone off and jumped on my bed over and over again. I screamed, which I quickly stopped as I covered my mouth with my free hand.

My dad went in the room and asked, "Is... everything alright?"

I quickly sat down the bed and nodded, "Y-yeah, just happy I passed my test~!"

He nodded and exited my room as he closed the door behind him.

"What was that all about..."

Anyway, I continued texting him, which ever now and then, made my heart race.

Darn it, my best friend is undeniably sweet.

I woke up at 6, since we are going to have our hang out at the park. (Or maybe date... I MEAN HANG OUT.)

Anyway, I quickly stuffed some bacon and garlic rice in my mouth. It's only been 6:30, so maybe I can dry my hair and play a bit of video games. So I did my remaining tasks, but then I started worrying about what I am going to wear today.

Oh shoot, what to wear, what to wear.
..

I quickly spotted a blue dress. Perfect!

I quickly got it and changed my clothes, applying a bit of make up. Well, only the foundation and just the lipstick that is.

I neatly brush my hair when it was all dried, and put on my black headband.

Great, guess I can play some video games first. My watch beeped, just as the doorbell rang. I quickly turned off my game console and got my shoes. I slipped them in as I grabbed my shoulder bag and dashed downstairs, hoping it was him.

I gleefully answered the door, revealing Bill with a dark green long sleeve shirt with his pants, and his sneakers.

"You look neat, if I do say so myself."

"Pfff you look neat-er?"

We looked at each other anf laughed. No denying, my best friend looks handsome.

We headed to the park to go get some ice cream. Since I'm a fan of chocolate and he likes vanilla, he got me and him those flavors.

Anyway, I was surprised he brought two rackets, and a shuttlecock. Badminton huh?

After we finished our ice creams, I took the other racket, and soon enough, we started playing badminton. To tell the truth, he really is great at this sport.

After we finished playing, we decided to play humanity's deadliest game ever played... TRUTH OR DARE!!!

After he did a couple of hilarious dares, I really couldn't take it anymore. I laughed a lot and yeah, I did feel sorry for him. Jeez, poor guy.

"What should we do next?"

"You've still got ice cream on your lips."

"What?"

"I said you've got ice cream on you lips."

"Where right... here?"

"Middle."

"Can't get it."

He laughed and leaned in, kissing me. I felt the ice cream's stickiness was gone. The only sweet thing I taste right now is his lips.

My eyes widened as I slowly kissed him back.

We let go immediately and I felt myself blush.

"Wh-what was that? W-we're still best friends right?"

"Try girlfriend, boyfriend..."

"H-huh?"

"Yeah I-I wanna ask you. I want you to be my girlfriend..."

I eagerly nodded and hugged him tightly. Wow, so this is the explanation for the certain and occasional heart jumps and races whenever I'm with my best friend.

It was already 5 pm.

"Come on, I should take you back home."

I nodded as he held my hand while we were walking back to my house.

"Bill, thanks for the wonderful day. Judt wondering... even if we are in this relationship, we will always be best friends... right?"

He gave me a quick peck in return and whispered gently in my ear, "Whatever happens, even if we get married someday... we'll always be best friends."

I shut the door, smiling about what he said just awhile ago.

No matter what happens, we'll always be best friends. Inseparable, best friends.
