Song: You're gonna go far, kid - The Offsprings
"Okay, hear me out here." Mitch pleaded as we walked through the crowded streets of Montreal.
"No, you hear me out, we are NOT going to get coffee." I snapped and sidestepped a couple that were heading straight towards me with no sign of moving and casting them a glare. You're probably wondering why I'm out of my dorm, out of the school in fact, with Mitch as company. Let me explain.
So I was in my dorm trying to pass the time and decided I needed a shower, I'd ran the water and made sure the window was firmly shut when I had realised my shampoo and conditioner were near empty, so I'd need to get a new one.
Now in this school lets it's students go to the city on the weekends if you've signed a register to leave, then you get a special pass you hand to the receptionist that opens the door into the outside world. So you'd use that time to get necessities from the shops or from your parents if they still have anything to do with you. I'd figured they'd let me go out because I need to shower.
That obviously wouldn't be the case.
"Absolutely not Piper." Mrs Jackson denied, she was the lady in charge of students leaving the school and coming back. I'm pretty sure she's romantically involved with Hitler.
"C'mon! What am I supposed to do? Not shower?" I grumbled, glaring at a group of kids passing me that were talking too loud.
"Well you could-"
"I could take her." A voice interrupted from behind me. I turned around to see Mitch standing there looking at Mrs Jackson, her facial expression immediately changed from bitchy to flirty. Her lips pouted slightly and her penciled eyebrows raised in approval as she practically undressed him with her eyes.
"Oh god no anyone but him please." I whined.
"If you don't mind me asking honey, who are you?" She purred, taking no notice of me and leaning forwards with her elbows on her desk and her hands cradling her chin as she batted her spidery eyelashes. Mitch practically recoiled in horror when he realised she was hitting on him but stood his ground.
"I'm here for work experience, I sit in on some of the students' therapy session."
"Do you have no soul?" I whispered hoarsely and tried to make eye contact with the receptionist.
"So how old are you honey?" She smiled widely. Okay I've had enough.
"Young enough for this to be very illegal." I interrupted loudly. She cast me an irritated look before turning back to Mitch with a more businesslike tone.
"Okay fine, I'll give you a pass but be back here for 6 in the evening at the latest."
"Thanks!" Mitch waved cheerily as we walked away.
"Shut up, for gods sake." I grumbled and glared at him.
"Happy to see me boo thang?" He grinned walked backwards in front of me.
Instead if replying or asking what the shit a 'boo thang' was I kicked him in the shin and carried on walking, hiking my bag further up my shoulder. He caught up again with a slight limp and staying quiet until we reached the car park where he decided we'd go in his car, I happily blanked him the whole journey.
That's pretty much how I got into this situation.
"Why not? I want coffee and it looks like its going to rain soon." He persisted.
"BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO GET COFFEE WITH YOU!" I yelled in his face, expecting him to back off, which is of course not what he did. "How do you know it's gonna rain anyway?"
