Phone convo:

"Hey mom.", I said.
"Hi sweetheart.", she said, a little worried.
"How is everyone?" I asked.
"Well. I guess I have to tell you now." She moaned.
"Tell me what?" I demanded to know what was going on. My mother usually doesn't act like this.
She sighed. "It's not Bentley that's dead."
"W-what?" I could barely get that word out of my mouth.
"It's..." She paused. I heard crying in the other end of the phone.
"Mom. Tell me. Please." I pleaded.
"Your father." She cried.
There was a long pause on the phone. I couldn't speak.
"I told you it was Bentley because I wanted you to have fun on your trip." She said.
"I'm coming home mom." I told her.
I hung up the phone and told Hayes what had really happened. We immediately went home. I was crying the whole time. When we got to the house I went upstairs and started packing. I grabbed all my clothes and stuffed them into my luggage. Then Hayes opened the door holding a bag. "I'm not letting you go alone." He said. "I won't be alone. Hannah will be coming with me." "I'm still coming. You need protection." He said. I laughed a little bit.
He always knows how to brighten my day.

Once we were all packed Hayes told his parents he would be gone for a few days. I don't see how they were ok with that but they were. So we left. Hayes told us that we could take a taxi back home but it would be about a 12 hour drive. "So we'll have to split it up into two days." Hannah suggested. We all agreed that that would be best so we called the taxi to come pick us up.
