ANNAS POV:
I've hardly seen Hayes since Hannah and I came to North Carolina.
I'm starting to think that he doesn't like me anymore.
I mean, it has been two years since we were together.
I've seen him once or twice at their house but that's pretty much it.
I guess I should ask Nash where he has been.
I walk downstairs to go talk to him.
I faintly smell the delightful fragrance of pancakes.
"Mmmmm." I mumble.
As I walked into the kitchen I see Hannah standing by the stove making pancakes.
"Can I have one?" I ask.
"Yeah, you can have this one."
I nod and walk into the dining room, where Nash is sitting.
"Hey!" I say, and sit down next to him.
"Hey whats up Anna?" He replies.
"Nothing much. I have a question."
"Ok what is it?"
"Where's Hayes? I've hardly seen him this week!"
"Oh. He didn't tell you? He has football games every night this week. He hardly has time to come home because they practice so much."
I frown.
"We could go watch one tonight if you'd like?" He says.
"That'd be awesome!" I say, smiling.
"Ok be ready by 5:30." He says.
I look up at the wall clock that is ticking to the left of the room.
It reads, 2:54.
I run upstairs and watch Netflix in Hayes' room for awhile.
Then later I put on light makeup and throw on a sweatshirt with Hayes' team's colors and some high-waisted shorts.
Look very festive, I walk down the stairs and tell Nash and Hannah that I'm ready to go.
We all go outside.
Nash locks the door and we all hop into the car.
===========
The game starts as two girls slide into the row of bleachers behind us.
One has Brown hair and the other has blonde.
The brown haired one says "So which one is he?"
The other replies "Number seven."
That's Hayes' number.
I turn around and say "So Hayes is your favorite?"
"Yes!" The blonde one replies.
"Good! I'll tell him he has fans! He's my boyfriend." I say proudly.
"Ok tell him we said he played good tonight!" The brown haired one says.
"My name is Ashley by the way." She says.
"And I'm Emma." The blonde one says.
"Ok! Nice to meet you! I'm anna!" I reply.
We talk for the rest of the game and somehow get onto the subject of Hayes' school.
We talk and walk down the bleachers.
As we reach the bottom, Hayes stands there in front of the first row of bleachers waiting for me.
"Hayes!" I yell.
"Anna!" He yells back.
I run down the rest of the steps and jump into Hayes' arms.
He spins me around twice and put me down.
He kisses my cheek and puts his arm around my waist.
"Hey babe." He says and smiles.
"Heyyy." I say, blushing.
We hug each other.
"I haven't seen you in soooo long!" I say.
"I know, its these football games! We never stop practicing!" He replies.
I stick my tongue out.
"Only two more nights though! Then we can hang out." He adds.
"Good. That leaves three weeks." I say.
"Yep! I heard that the guys and Nash are having some disagreements." He says with a frown.
"Yeah. Actually. Matt kissed Hannah and Shawn dedicated a song to her. But he kinda overreacted about the song. Guess he was still shook up about what Matt did." I reply frowning.
"Oh." He says simply.
We talk to some people at the game, complimenting Hayes' playing.
Then Nash and Hannah came towards us holding hands.
"Hey Hayes!" She says and runs up to hug him.
"Hey Hannah! It's nice to see you in person finally!" Hayes says.
"Yeah! Back at ya!" She replies.
"Me and Anna have been planning this trip since you guys left!" Hannah laughs.
"Awwwwwwe!" Nash says, batting his eyelashes at Hannah.
Hannah rolls her eyes and puts her arm around his shoulder.
"Yep. Here's my man." She says and laughs again.
At that point he swoops her into his arms and runs off with her.
All of a sudden, of of nowhere, it starts raining.
Me and Hayes grab a blue umbrella to stay dry and we head over to the concession stand.
