James's POV

The name made my mouth dry, "Lilith."

She looked up and me and narrowed her eyes, and growled, "James."

Arsen shifted uncomfortably behind me. I had told him about what I had done many times. He knew who Lilith was.

"What do you want," I snapped. My hand gripped the sword at my side. I had forgot to deliver the sword.

Her eyes burned with fury as she stared at me, her gaze not faltering. "I want justice. I want justice for what you did six years ago. I want revenge."

I laughed, and tossed my head back, "Is that what you've been doing for the past six years? Planning your revenge? That's pathetic, Lilith. Really pathetic." Arsen snickered next to me.

She growled and jabbed a finger in my direction, "You're the pathetic one here. Nearly killing your own parents and your own sister. Your own family," she gave me a angry glare, "You deserve to be punished for that."

"Then go ahead," I giggled, "Do it. Get your... revenge." Lilith growled again, and unsheathed her sword, pointing it at me. We were still a good few feet away from her, but it didn't stop her from pointing her sword at me. "Go ahead." I stood there, arms spread wide, waiting for her to attack.

"I'm not stupid, James," she snarled. "I know what type of powers you have. I didn't loose my memory of that night."

My hands dropped to my side as I smirked and let out a low laugh, "It's a shame you remember it. It really is. But it's also a good thing, I can still torture you about that night. How you screamed, and begged to die. Don't you dare think for a second that I would forget it either." Lilith gulped and her arm started to shake. I had hit a nerve. "You know why I did it?"

"Because you're insane."

I nodded, a smirk spreading across my face, "Yeah. Because I'm insane. And because I wanted to see all of you in pain. I wanted to see you all suffer."

She chuckled dryly, "Well you saw that didn't you?"

"Indeed I did."

We sat in silence, until Lilith pointed her sword in Arsen's direction. "Who's this?"

I thought about the question for a few seconds before responding, "He's a... friend."

"You can make friends?"

"He's like me," I replied. "Insane." She nodded in understanding. "Well.... Get your revenge then."

She smiled, "Fine. Since you asked so nicely."

She lunged, and aimed for my head, swinging her sword. Arsen jumped in front of me just in time and blocked the blow. I unsheathed my the sword I won the other day, and braced it in front of me. Lilith stumbled a few feet back, and gripped her sword with both her hands this time. I raised one of my hands, and aimed it for her arm. I shot a beam of light at her, and she jumped to the side, narrowly avoiding the beam.

"I'm giving you a chance to get away now!" I yelled. Lilith growled loudly, but didn't drop her sword or leave. She held her ground. "Fine then. I'll do what I did last time. I'll make you beg for death." She started to shake again, and had to grip her sword tighter so it wouldn't fall out of her hands.

Arsen took the chance and ran for Lilith, swinging his sword at her arm. She aimed to block the attic, but ended up getting the sword knocked out of her hands. Lilith stumbled back a few feet in surprise.

I walked forward, and she kept taking steps backwards as I approached. She backed herself into a tree, and I closed in on her, grabbing her wrist. I pressed my sword up against her neck, just hard enough to draw blood.

I laughed, and Arsen joined in after me. "You could have avoided this whole thing if you had just left." Lilith avoided my gaze, and looked off to the side. "Now, what should I do with you? Make you cry? Make you scream?" Just the ideas made me shiver with delight.

This time she turned to me, her eyes blazing with anger, and raised a hand. She slapped me hard across the face and I stepped back in surprise. But, I kept my grip firmly on her wrist. The sword had fell from her neck, and was now resting on her shoulder. I moved it back up as I growled.

"Don't you dare hit me!" I snapped. She pushed herself up further against the tree.

"You know," she started. I raised in eyebrow in recognition. "Mother and father still love you. They don't hate you for anything you've done. I don't understand how they can, it makes no sense to me." My eyes widened in surprise. How could they not hate me? After I nearly killed them, it was hard to understand.

I quickly composed myself again. I didn't want to show any emotions in front of Lilith. "I could care less. Now, what's left is to figure out what to do with you." I pivoted my head slightly so I could see Arsen out of my peripheral vision. "What do you think?"

Arsen shrugged, and then suggested, "We could keep her here. Or we could send her back to your parents as a message."

I thought about the idea for a minute. I liked it. "Sure why not." I removed the sword from Lilith's neck, causing her to sigh in relief. Before she could say anything else, I grabbed a spare dagger from my belt, and stabbed it into her arm. She cried out in pain, and fell to the ground.

"Go on then," I said as I nudged her with my foot. She continued to glare at me and she stood up, clutching her arm. I watched as she stumbled off into the woods, until she disappeared into a large collection of trees.

I turned around, smirking at Arsen. "That was easier than I thought."

He nodded in agreement. "What now?"

"We wait."
