Alexander looked over to them, his eyes blazing with fury, "I was informed that James is to be executed. I want an explanation."
Zane was the one to step forward, offering an explanation. "You saw what he just did, Alex. He's dangerous and we don't know what he could do. With his powers, he could kill all of us. I know how you feel, but it is better for all of us."
Despite the logic in Zane's answer, Alexander protested. "He deserves another chance. Do what you were going to do originally. Just, please, don't kill him."
The older man shook his head. "I'm sorry, Alex. You can change the verdict now. It's too late."
"Uncle, please! You can't do this to him!"
"No. Alexander, that is final." Silence fell over the room and everyone's head hung in a silent guilt. They all knew this is what had to happen to me. It was the only option and I was happy, even if I was going to lose my life. Even though it broke me to see Alexander so guilt-stricken, I knew this is what had to be done.
Finally, Alexander gave in and hung his head as well. "Fine... Just, let his last year be with me. Could he stay in my house for the year?"
Zane glanced over at my father--who was still holding Lilith--and my mother and waited for them to nod in agreement. Then he turned to face Laurance and Garroth. They looked at each other for a second before nodding as well. Then, turning back to Alexander he gave him a nod. "That is fine. But he is to not be out of your sight unless he is restrained or locked up."
Alexander nodded vigorously, and he looked away from Zane, and down at me. "It is all right with you, right?"
I nodded into his chest, having a hard time believing everything that just happened. First, it was decided that I would be killed, then I attacked Lilith, and then... Alexander came in and helped me. Now I would be living with him for a year before I would be executed. It all seemed so surreal. I could escape now if I wanted. Like Zane said, I had my powers. I could kill them all, or even just blind them. But right now I didn't want that. I wanted to be punished for what I did. Though, living with Alexander for a year, would not be so bad.
"I'll be taking James back to my house for now. Just go there if you need anything."
With that, Alexander grabbed my wrist and pulled me towards the door. No one said anything. He hesitantly opened it, knowing that there would be people out there with questions. But I gave him a small nod, letting him know that I would be okay. Alexander shot me a reassuring smile, and walked out the door, pulling me after. The group of boys were the first people I saw. They were the closest to the door. When we stepped out, their faces broke into smirks, and they stepped in our path.
"Look what we got here," said one of the boys--who rather by now were roughly the same age as me, so they weren't really boys. "The fag and the murderer." Alexander glanced down at me and tightened his grip on my wrist, before looking back at the man.
"Shut the hell up, Jackson," spat Alexander. He tried to get us past them, but the men at the back of the group stopped us. "Let us through, we haven't done anything."
The man--whose name I know knew was Jackson--barked out a laugh. "You both are menaces, of course, you have done things. Instead of one of you, you both should be killed. It would make this village such a better place." Some of the other men behind him snickered.
Alexanders face turned red with anger, and he shoved at one of the men. "Get the fuck out of our way, Erik."
"Nope," he replied, shoving Alexander back. My anger grew, seeing someone attack Alexander.
"Get out of our ways before I snap your both your legs and leave you for the wolves," I threatened, my eyes narrowing into slits. Erik took a step back at my remark, and his face visibly paled. Alexander turned to me with wide eyes and a look of surprise on his face. I shrugged and motioned for him to go forward. He turned away and started walking. This time no one tried to stop us.

Alexander opened the door for me and waited for me to go inside, so I did. His house wasn't that big, and it was dark. While I was taking a look around the room, Alexander took the opportunity to light some candles and the room lit up. I took in the surroundings.
The living area had a small couch and a small table along with a wooden chair. I could see the kitchen too from where I was standing, but it just looked like a normal kitchen, so I didn't pay any mind to it. While I was zoned in on looking around his house, Alexander pulled me into another hug, catching me off guard.
"Alexander?"
"Shh... James... just, please. I just want to hug you right now." A blush spread across my face, and I pressed my head into his chest. "Please right now, just stay with me, and don't make a sound."
He placed a hand on the back of my head and pressed it against his chest further. "Stay with me."

Heh, this is getting intense.
Also, a ship seems to be sailing.
Also, we're going to do a Q&A for the next chapter of this book. You can ask any of the characters any questions you want, but I can't gaurantee all of them will be able to be answered.
Peace out 'till next time.
