Chapter 14: Blue Fire

Curious as to what Master Ryu will tell me, I hurriedly went towards the washing area and put my laundry there. Those few words that he told me really piqued my interest that I couldn't bring myself to stay still.

What could it be? Maybe he's going to give me advance training...or maybe, he's going to give me some sort of night-mission or something like that. I thought as I paced around the washing area while waiting for my clothes to get washed.

In any case, he sounded pretty urgent so this must be serious. I said to myself.

Ting!

As soon as I heard the timer end, I quickly got my clothes from the washing machine and put it in the dryer.

Seven more minutes! I told myself.

Well, that's gotta wait. I told myself. Even though he said in half an hour, I still could not brush off the fact that it might be an emergency or an urgent situation.

I quickly changed my form and glided on the floor. I found myself outside in no time and there he was, standing still as a shadow.

"Oh, hello there, Hikari." Master Ryu cordially greeted. "So, how are you enjoying yourself?"

"I'm sorry, sir. I was invited out of the blue and I cannot reject it. But I will try to attend our classes next time." I told him, thinking that I might get punished.

"That's alright." He responded. "I accidentally saw your fight awhile ago and I might say you already mastered your Whole Consciousness as a shadow. It comes off naturally, right?"

Phew. I told myself. For the moment there, I thought I'd be getting a beating.

"I thought that everyone's in danger, and it just came naturally, as you said." I simply replied.

"In any case, your Legendary Sword of the Shadows and Shadow Bind Technique is going quite well. I think I would be able to teach you a new move soon." He said. "But before that, I have something to discuss with you and it's quite urgent."

"What is it, Master Ryu?"

"History Class 101! Question number one! What is the name of the army that I defeated single-handedly? Clue: it's in the history books." He exclaimed.

"The Saber-tooth?" I answered, not knowing where he's getting at.

"Right-o! Question number two! Who was the irregular that I mostly fight with? Clue: He's almost always in my fights." He exclaimed once again.

"The Blue Fire ?"

"Correct again! Man, you're good in history." He said. "For the last question. What is the name of the shady organization that has been existing in the shadows for quite some time now? This question is not history-related by the way." He winked.

"I don't know."

"Clue! One of your answers is the answer to this question!" He exclaimed.

"The Sabre-..."

Before I could say it, someone interrupted me and said. "...tooth, Saber-tooth."

A figure of a man moved somewhere behind me. I couldn't see it, but I could sense that it's there. I whirled around to see who it was.

Mr. Yukine?!

"Hey there, Hikari! So you're the one Ryu has been boasting about every time we meet. Well, I mean, I knew that it's you all along, but I didn't mention it because it was unnecessary." He said.
