The once cleared sky was eventually blotted with a few helicopters, ruining the beautiful scene of the atmosphere. A few armored vehicles roared on the streets. The once quiet town had become an uproarious one, making the people inside their houses curious as to what was happening outside. A few men in camouflaged outfits scaled both the grounds and the top of the buildings. It looked somehow disturbing and relieving at the same time. If you take a closer look to one of the terrain soldiers, you would see that he is not wearing just a normal camouflaged outfit, but a much advanced one. You could see the light and quiet boots that they wore, and at the same time, the marked on their sleeves that read:
Institute of Irregulars
"Focus on the captives, I repeat, focus on the captives!" One of the commanders repeated.
.....
Smash!
Saika flinched after hearing the deafening smash. She prepared herself to be thrown away in mid-air after hearing the smash, impulsively shutting her eyes in the process.
However, she was unmoved. Her expected blow didn't even reach her, much to her surprise. However, a large gust of wind unexpectedly blew towards her. She leaned forward, trying to fight the huge gust of wind that hit her. What was that? She wondered.
Slowly opening her eyes, she began to feel that she wasn't alone. She detected that a group of people has arrived on the scene. Using her irregularity, she began reading the minds of the newcomers. She could somehow feel that they weren't the enemy due to the auras that they emit. Since she's psychic, she could also recognize people's reactions, emotions, and thoughts. At the present, she perceived no sense of hostility from them. Their reactions were also tense, but not as tensed as the enemies, but rather, a concerned kind-of-tense.
Who are these people? She asked, getting more and more curious by the second. And why aren't the golems attacking?
Saika completely opened her eyes without hesitation. And that's when he saw the great mound of land in front of him. One thought entered her mind after seeing the mound- that the golems were already buried underneath it.
And she was right.
"Man! That took faster than expected." A teenager wearing a white scarf on his head, said. "I thought they were quite strong but, nah, I guess not."
A sixteen year old-looking teenager appeared in front of him and slapped him on the back. "Didn't you see what it did? It was sucking the irregular energy from that woman! You were just lucky that you have an indirect attack, that's all, you idiot!"
"Be quiet, Rin! I was the one who brought them all down in one go, you know!" The white-scarf teenager remarked. "And don't call me idiot, I have a name! Aoyama! Aoyoma de-su!"
Rin just ignored Aoyama while he nonchalantly spoke. She began to approach Saika with a cheery smile on her face. "Hello ma'am! I'm Akai Rin! We're from the Institute of Irregulars, nice to meet you!" Rin cheerfully said while holding out an identity card in front of Saika's face. "We've been called en route to the Black Wolf Organization and found a few of them here with these weird looking rock monsters." She explained.
"B-black Wolf O-organization?" Saika stammered. "So, you've been called by whom? We didn't call the I.O.I in this, you know."
"We know, but someone tipped us since you were having a hard time. We've been looking for the Black Wolf Organization for so long and now that we finally found it, an unknown group was trying to bring it down. So, we guess we'll give you a hand!" Rin replied.
