It was already in the middle of the night. The full moon began to illuminate the surroundings as our group walk outside the hospital. Master Ryu, The Blue Fire, Saika, and I already knew who was behind all these things, not to mention where my mom was held. Apparently, a group called the Black Wolf, a branch of the Underground, wanted to research my dad's irregularity.

Had it not been for Saika's mind reading ability, we wouldn't have known anything about the Black Wolf.

While I was out having a conversation with Kirihara, Saika talked to the kidnappers that I caught in the room next to my dad's. And that's how we found out about the Black Wolf.

As far as I could understand, the Black Wolf is a mysterious organization who specializes in high-tech irregular traps. They also hired irregular pro assassins to get test subjects such as other irregulars. Unfortunately, they underestimated my dad's connection and failed their plan. Since I recently just became a shadow manipulator, they didn't know that I was one; all thanks to Hana, who kept my fight with her at school off-records.

"So, we're going to shut the organization down?" I curiously asked them as we headed out.

"Yup! We know their location, I mean, their hideout. We know how many they are, and we basically know the backgrounds of the Irregulars, assassins, and researchers under them." Master Ryu said. "We need to attack them now, otherwise, they might be able to think of something up."

"Ryu's right. It's better that we currently know them right now. We might not know them later, you know what I mean." The Blue Fire said.

We should attack now. The earlier the better since they might be able to plan for future attacks. Saika told me in my mind.

It's better the devil we know than the devil we don't, huh. I began to remember the saying. They are probably right. We should attack now that they're unprepared; the earlier the better. And surprise attacks are the best in these kinds of situation.

"So what's the plan, Master Ryu?"

"Nothing. We just barge in there and knock them all out. After that, we turn them over to the authorities." Master Ryu simply explained.

In other words, there's no plan at all. I told myself.

"Well, do your best, the three of you!" Saika told us.

"Wait, you're not coming?!" I exclaimed.

"Someone needs to look after your dad, you know." Saika replied. "And I need to watch over Mitsumi and the Blue Fire's wife."

"Oh yeah! I forgot to tell them!" The Blue Fire suddenly exclaimed. "The two of you can go  ahead first. I need to drive my family here to the hospital so that Saika could watch over them."

"Oh, we understand." Master Ryu replied. "Come on, Hikari! Follow me!"

Before I could shift into a shadow form, I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder. "Remember Hikari, you're both a shadow manipulator and a light bringer. If you can finish everyone there, don't wait for me. As far as we know, the Black Wolf is unpredictable and they might send some men to your dad. I will keep watch here for the meantime with Saika, but I will be joining in on the action later as soon as I confirm that everything is okay."

"Yes, sir."

"I told you, just call me dad!" He told me as he gave me a thumbs-up.

"Okay, dad!"

"You've got spunk, Hikari! Take care!" The Blue Fire exclaimed. "After all, you're my future son-in-law." He whispered.
