Attention! Attention all units! The Shadow Manipulator, along with the Blue Fire family has escaped on the verge of death. We had underestimated their power and the Shadow Manipulator's disciple managed to let them escape. They couldn't have gotten far. Secure the area!

Tsk!

For the first time in his life, Kirihara could feel frustration and guilt at the same time. It never did occur to me that it was partly my fault, now that it has come to this. But who knows? I just met Master Ryu and Hikari recently and I always judge a person based on their personality.

If I hadn't trailed him in the hospital that time, the Black Wolf wouldn't have found him. If I had not activated the traps on the door just beside the Light-Bringer's door, he would have been able to get away while simultaneously saving his dad. I shouldn't have done that. But there's no use worrying over spilled milk. Right now, all of them are in danger and I am probably the only one who could save them. Kirihara said to himself.

So much for being heroic.

Before he knew it, he passed by the love bridge once again. I don't know if Hana would believe what I just told her. There's a huge possibility that she won't believe me since this was the first time we have met. Still I shouldn't expect anything from them. If I'm doing this alone, then I would.

After all, I owe that person something important.

Kirihara passed by the school for a split second since he was gliding. But even though he was that fast, he was able to see his little sister going towards the entrance since he used his sense enhancement. Kirihara smiled to himself, thinking that his sister, and his parents, would be safe because of that person. But that person is in danger right now. He helped me before, and now it's my turn to return the favor.

.....

H-how?!

How am I still alive? I asked myself.

I never knew what happened right  after I blew the whole place up. The only thing that I know was that I fell unconscious after releasing so much energy. The next thing I knew was getting my consciousness back.

Nine squared is eighty one, Ten squared is hundred, Eleven squared is one hundred twenty one, twenty five squared is six hundred twenty-five. My name is Kurayami Hikari, sixteen years old. I heaved a sigh of relief after confirming that I didn't have any brain damage. I opened my eyes right after that, finding myself in an enclosed space- a one by two meter room to be exact.

The room is different compared to the other room where I had been. For one, the room has a single light bulb on the ceiling, and a fan stood in front of me. I could feel the slight touch of wind as the fan continued to progressively rotate.

Now it's time to check my whole body. I wonder if I had any injuries regarding that incident. I asked myself. Wait, how long was I unconscious?!

I began rotating my head while trying to make my whole body move. To my relief, I didn't have any fatal injuries. However, a thick bandage was neatly wrapped around my belly, probably because of the huge wound that I recently had due to the fight.

Just as I was checking my whole body, I finally realized that I was completely bound on a chair by some kind of trap. I could feel it trying to stop me from transforming into my shadow form. I tried to use my shadow bind but it still didn't work. I didn't know how I got myself here in the first place, but I have a hunch that it was the work of the Black Wolf Organization.
