Chapter-10

When I came to,  I realized Nya was gone. But, Kai was still with me. Looks like Kai woke up already. Kai turned his head and saw me.

"Good! You're awake! We really need to go help Nya!" Kai said worriedly.

" Kai! What happen to your leg?!" I asked. There was a sizeable divot on his left leg.

" I did it for Nya's sake. Not for you," Kai said coldly, glaring at me.

"Kai, I'm sorry... It's not my intention..."I tried to tell him. But Kai was too stubborn, as always. Anyways, we had to get out of here! I emitted my golden energy and Kai and my chains broke.

"Let's go!" I got up and grabbed Kai's hand. Kai tried to get up but couldn't.

"Just, go without me Lloyd, I can't even get up!" Kai shook his head as he sighed.

"No, Kai, Nya needs you. Ninja never quit!" I said with devotion. Kai shook his head, as if he gave up everything.

"Kai, you didn't need to injure yourself THAT bad..." I said. But, Kai just shook his head and avoided eye contact with me.

"Kai? Is there something you want to tell me?" I asked, concerned. I really need to persuade Kai to come with me.

"I...I owe you too much Lloyd... I worked with The Shadow to trick you... " Kai finally muttered.
