Guys...again I am horrible. Of course this was supposed to go out Sunday, but as you can see...Heheh. And even worse news, I'm going on another break...Not as long though, maybe two weeks?
Chapter Thirteen
Dhairya's P.O.V.
"Slut. Whore. Useless. Toy. Broken. Ruined."
I could hear the words floating in the space around me, but I couldn't see where they were coming from. I was standing in pitch black air, but I didn't fall. The air seemed to be suffocating me and I couldn't talk. I looked to the back of me and my dad's face starting to emerge from the darkness.
"Hello, slut. Do you think that you have found love already? Do you think that you even deserve love? Because if you do, you are clearly wrong. Love should not be for you. You have ended so many other people's love, deciding that you couldn't handle it and taking them away. Of course, once was not enough for you, you had to continue. For example, there is me. If it weren't for you, ANGELA WOULD STILL BE WITH ME! And then, there's Kaelen. Kaelen was meant to be with Emily, being with you is a huge mistake that he had made and I hope that he will see that. Maybe you should go and end your love of ending other's love, okay?"
My father sneered at me and shrank back into the dark. I quickly turned around to see if he had somehow gotten behind me. When I turned around, however, the face that greeted me wasn't my father, but it was Sydney's.
"Hey, Dhairya, did you know? The only reason that Pierce and I was ever nice to you was because your father is technically higher ranked than us? Don't think otherwise."
His body too, melted into the deep, black space and was replaced by Pierce stepping out. He smiled at me and I felt tears well up in my eyes. I couldn't handle this much at once, I didn't know that that was how Sydney actually felt about me.
"Awww...is the little crybaby crying again?"
Pierce let out a malicious laugh and I stopped in my tracks. His voice sounded weird, it wasn't nice and soft like usual. It was mean and full of hate, and I think that that was the scariest part of all this. Their voices were all bitter.
"You couldn't possibly think that we would like you? The fact that you would ever even think that shows exactly how cocky and dumb you are. Hey, Dhairya? You should listen to your father, no one needs you. Not me, not him, and definitely not Kaelen."
I felt the tears hit my cheeks and Pierce gave out another evil chuckle before reaching his arm into the black space and pulling out Vincent. Vincent smirked at me and I shivered. I was used to the happy Vincent and the nice Pierce, not the ones in front of me. But, aren't the ones in front of me just telling the truth?
"Hey, Dhairya. Your mom was one of the best people I had ever met, but you are just the worst person ever. You whine a lot and you never tell people what you want. I know that you still have your words and your voice, so why don't you talk? Idiot."
The tears that were already falling began falling even faster and I put my head in my hands. Vincent and Pierce returned to the dark. Kaelen walked out and hugged me, putting my head on his shoulder. I grabbed onto his shirt and cried.
"Die."
I felt a blade push deep into my chest from the back and I coughed. It was dizzying seeing all the blood that pooled on the ground and I felt myself fall...
"Dhairya! Wake up! God damn it, Dhairya! Please wake up!"
Kaelen? I could hear Kaelen's voice, but that couldn't be right. He had stabbed me and I had died. How could I hear his voice? And why was he saying wake up?
"Dhairya. I need you to wake up, okay? Kaelen's over there freaking out because you had stopped breathing."
Vincent? I frowned and tried opening my eyelids, immediately closing them again after seeing the light in the room. Vincent chuckled and I could hear his footsteps walking to the light switch. The light dimmed and I tried opening my eyes again.
"Dhairya? You're okay?"
Kaelen's rushed over to me and I flinched away on an impulse. Kaelen's face reflected his sadness and I felt bad. He was genuinely worried at me and I had moved away. Kaelen forced a smile and I felt even worse. He pulled his hand away and I shook my head before holding his hand tightly.
Kaelen was shocked and it showed all over his face. I think it was because I rarely ever initiated any skin contact. I hated it, but with Kaelen, I love the way our hands fit together. It was the best feeling I had ever had.
"You okay, Dhairya?"
I nodded immediately, not wanting to be a burden on him or Vincent. They were nice people, so I knew that if I said 'no', they would have went out of their ways to make me feel better. I didn't want that.
"Dhairya, did you have a really bad nightmare or something? Because you stopped breathing. Sometimes, if you feel like you had died in a dream, your body will make it so you seem dead in real life. Was it a night terror?"
I was about to sign out 'yes', but for some reason, I decided against it. I think that saying yes would be a lot more significant than just signing it. Just like how sometimes it's better to say yes than to nod.
"Yeah, it was a nightmare..."
The door burst open and my eyes widened in fear. My father stood there angrily and I knew that he had heard me, no matter how small or raspy my voice was while speaking. His face was red and his eyes were completely dilated, showing exactly how furious he was.
"You bitch! You broke your promise! You can add that on the long list of what you did wrong, slut!"
