Ok, there's going to be a double update today because of a realization that I had. No matter how much I try to stick up chapters, it doesn't work. I give up. Thank you. Bye.

Chapter Fifteen

Dhairya's P.O.V.

I was warm when I woke up. It was a nice feeling, one that I haven't had in a long time. My back was pressed against something hard and two long things were wrapped around my waist, restricting all my movements. My legs were entangled with the sheets and something else, but despite all that, I was comfortable. More comfortable than I have been in a long time.

"Go back to sleep, Dhairya...it's still really early..."

Hearing the rough voice made me shiver. It was interesting to hear. But, I hadn't noticed that I had moved. How does he know that I was awake?

"Please, Dhairya, go back to sleep. It's still really early in the morning..."

I nodded and closed my eyes, allowing Kaelen's warmth to envelop me again. It was calming and I found myself drifting off to sleep again...

--------------------------------------------------------------

I woke up for the second time and seeing that the sun was up, I decided that it was late enough to wake Kaelen up. I smiled and pushed Kaelen's shoulder a little. He groaned and turned the other way, making me pout. He needed to wake up!

I pushed him again and he tried swatting at my hands. I pulled them back quickly and pouted. I wanted him to wake up, but I don't know how. I sighed. Oh well, I guess I'll just get up by myself. I was about to get out of the bed, but Kaelen's arms snaked around my waist and pulled me back into the bed. I landed with my face in his chest, making me blush harshly.

"Don't go. You're warm."

I tried pushing him away to sign something but he refused. He held on me tighter. That made me push harder, but I soon gave up. It was warm and nice in his arms after all.

"Okay, I know I keep pulling you back into the bed, but we should probably be getting out of bed. I do have to do some work today because of a meeting coming up."

Kaelen chuckled and I glared at him. I could tell that he wasn't at all scared by my glare, but at least I tried, right? I mean as long as I tried. Kaelen held out his hand to me and I pouted before ignoring the hand and standing up, walking past his hand.

Then, I realized that I had absolutely no idea how I was going to brush my teeth because I didn't bring anything except the clothes that I was wearing yesterday. That didn't make sense even in my head. Oopsie.

*Kaelen? I just realized something.*

"What's up?"

*I don't have a toothbrush, how am I going to brush my teeth?*

"Oh yeah. Don't worry, I think I have a few spare ones that you can use."

I nodded and followed Kaelen to the restroom. He opened one of the locked drawers and pulled out a toothbrush for me. I smiled when I saw the color. It was green.

"I know it's not exactly the forest green that you like, but it's close, right?"

I nodded happily. Although it wasn't the exact green I liked, I appreciated the fact that he had remembered my favorite color even though I had only said it once. I brushed my teeth with the smile on my face, which shouldn't have looked weird. I mean, everyone bares their teeth when they brush their teeth, right?

I finished and spit in the sink before cupping my hands to get some water and rinse my mouth. After rinsing, my mouth was wet and just as I was about to wipe it off with my sweater, a towel was placed in front of me. I looked up to see Kaelen smiling at me and I smiled back.

*Thank you.*

"No problem. Hey, I heard that you were smart? Do you want to help me with some of the work for the conference I have soon? It's not hard, mostly math."

I nodded. I did want to help him, he did so much for me, shouldn't I do something for him in return? I don't think that math would be enough repayment for how much he has helped me, but it's a start.

We both walked back into the office and he sat down on his amazing, spinning chair, while I stood. I have absolutely no idea where to go. I looked around, but there was no place where I could sit.

"Oh yeah, you can sit on the chair in front right here. If you need some help, it would be convenient for you to ask me questions right?"

I nodded and pulled out the chair. That made sense. Kaelen handed me some papers and I looked at it quickly. They didn't seem hard at all actually. They were all stocks and bonds. I could do this.

"Dhairya, let's talk while doing this. It's kind of weird just to sit here without talking, isn't it?"

*What do you want to talk about?*

"No, not sign. Talk. I know that you made some promise with your dad, but have you thought about it? What's the point in you not talking? Your dad shouldn't be able to take that away from you. Talking is your right. I know that you promised him, but if keeping a promise will harm you or someone else, I don't think you should keep that promise, Dhairya. You have rights, Dhairya. No one should be able to take those away from you, okay? Talk some more to me."

*I'm not getting hurt, though...*

"I am, Dhairya. You restricting yourself, not being able to hear you, those hurt me so much. I like you when you're you. When you're happy. That's all I want. That's all that I need. So please, stop restricting yourself for other people. It's just. I don't know. I like your voice a lot, talk some more for me?"

"Okay..."

That was all I could say. He gave me a whole speech, but all I could say was okay. What else would you say to something like that? I was too dumbstruck.

-----------------------------------------------------------

"Hey, Kaelen! You're going to your parent's place today, right? Hi, Dhairya."

I waved back to Vincent. He looked like he had ran around and played instead of working like I think he was supposed to.

"Yeah. I'm gonna bring Dhairya, too. I think that my parents should meet their son-in-law's cousin."

"I'm not you brother-in-law yet. Why do you want it to happen so much?"

"Shut up. Let's go."

Kaelen held out his hand to me and I took it. We all walked to the elevator and finally walked out the company doors. We got to Vincent's car and my jaw dropped. It was super expensive, I bet. Kaelen chuckled at my expression and I pouted at him. He couldn't blame my expression, I had never seen anything as expensive as that.

Kaelen pulled my hand and we walked away from one expensive car to another, even more, expensive car. My jaw dropped again. Why did any of them need cars this expensive? Kaelen unlocked the car and told me to get in, so I went and sat in the passenger seat. I put on my seat belt and Kaelen started the car. He began driving and my nerves spiked. We were going to Kaelen's parents...
