So, I'm not exactly back back, but I decided to post a chapter because of how shitty I think it is that my spring break has ended. I will get back to this story soon though, I promise. Haha, sorry...

Chapter Fourteen

Kaelen's P.O.V.

"You bitch! You broke your promise! You can add that on the long list of what you did wrong, slut!"

I felt my blood boil from all the anger created from his words. Dhairya was nothing like that and everyone knew it. How dare he talk about my mate like that? My eyes began flashing silver and my eyesight began blurring. This had always happened when my wolf and I had different opinions on a matter. Sage wanted to murder this man, but I held him back. Dhairya still loved his father and it was obvious. I couldn't kill him just yet.

>Why do you stop me, Kaelen? This man who hurts and insults our mate everyday? You want to save him? Why? HAVE YOU GONE OUT OF YOUR MIND?<

>Sage, you need to calm down. Trust me on this, you know that I do not want to save this man either, but will you please think of Dhairya? How would he feel if George was gone? You know it just as much as I do that George may not act like one, but he is still Dhairya's father? Would you be willing to take away Dhairya's dad? When he has already lost his mom? You can tell how much Dhairya loves him, can't you?<

>I can...<

>Okay, then let's just wait for the right time...<

I heard Sage grunt and I watched as he laid down, merely watching to see what I would do. My eyes finally stopped flashing and I could see what was happening around me. Suddenly, I wanted my eyes to flash again, I wanted to not be able to see.

Vincent was standing in front of Dhairya, holding George's raised wrist in his hand, but Dhairya was thrown on the ground, his eyes watered and tears about to fall down. I know that I had just told Sage that he shouldn't hurt Dhairya, but I never said anything about me, did I?

I growled lowly and raced at George, pushing him out the door. He tried to push back, reaching for Dhairya, but I was definitely a lot stronger so I pushed him out the door. He looked directly at Dhairya and I could smell the anger coming off of him in waves.

"Don't worry! I'll be back for you!"

"Vincent! Call security!"

I held George at bay while Vincent ran to the intercom in the wall. He pressed the button and talked into the hole, most likely calling security like I told him to. I stared in George's eyes and exerted just a little bit of my Alpha power to scare him into submitting into me. It worked because George fell on his knees and lowered his eyes. I smirked a bit evilly.

Security ran down the hall hurriedly, knowing that if I called, there was a major problem. Vincent ran out, patting me, as if to say that he would take care of it. He went to the security and began talking to them. They nodded and walked down to me and picked George up. I still stared at George and called out to him.

"Come back only when you have calmed down."

George snarled at me before smirking and I stared him down, watching security take him all the way down the halls and disappearing into the elevator. Vincent sighed and rubbed his head before walking back to me.

"Hey, do you think that Dhairya will be alright?"

"What do you think, Vincent? He just got major bullshit from his dad."

"Sorry, I didn't mean mentally though. I know that you can take care of that as his mate, but physically, he should be fine right? I mean, his cuts aren't bad?"

I stared at Vincent weirdly, wasn't he the one that said Dhairya would be fine? After looking at him closely, I realized that he was panicking, probably from all the action that has happened to someone close to him.

"He'll be fine, Vincent. I think you should go home for now. I'll take care of Dhairya, don't worry, okay? Just go to Darren and have a nice cuddle session or something?"

Vincent smiled and nodded, walking towards the same elevator that so many bad things seem to come and go from. I sighed sadly, today so many bad things had happened to Dhairya and it seemed unfair that someone so innocent had so many horrible things happened to him.

I walked over to Dhairya and picked him up gently from the ground for the second time today and placed him on the bed this time. Today was a very interesting day. It started out really fun and nice, and of course, with my luck, something had to come by and ruin it all. I sighed another time and stared at Dhairya, smiling softly.

"Hey, Dhairya, you seem to need another nap although we have had a few naps today already."

Dhairya's eyes seemed to focus and his cheeks started blushing red. I chuckled slightly at his cute nod and pushed him gently back. He complied and laid down. I pecked his forehead gently and pulled the blanket to cover his entire body, up to his chin. He giggled and put his hands next to his cheek, making me 'aww' inwardly. All these things that he does unintentionally makes me want to cuddle him to death.

"Go to sleep. I'll just be doing some extra work, and then I'll go to sleep too, okay?"

Dhairya nodded and I stroked his head one last time, watching his eyes close and him falling asleep. I looked back at my office and noticed how everything was messed up. The papers were all over the place and that was the most annoying thing ever to have happen to my office. I walked over and looked at the papers, seeing that some were torn up.

For once in my life, I was extremely happy that I was too hard-working. I had all the documents backed up in my laptop and in my own personal email. I picked up all the papers and stacked them on my desk, deciding that I would rather cuddle with Dhairya than doing work that I didn't even need to do. I climbed into the bed and placed another kiss on Dhairya's cheek.

"Goodnight, Angel..."
