OK BEFORE I START!!! I just wanna say how BAAAAD last chapter was lmao like bruh. Oh and THANKS FOR 20K READS!!! never thought I'd have that much. I also wanna say this is just one long ass filler.

Normani and I have been staring at each other for about 5 minutes now, "where-" Normani cleared her throat "where's king?" she asked while clearing her throat once more. I had pointed to the pull out bed beside her, showing a very worn out King "can you give him to me please?" Normani's voice cracked a bit as tears threatened to fall from her eyes. I did as asked and laid her son down in her arms and she just let out a big sob, "I wouldn't dare leave you behind baby"

I felt my eyes sting as I saw Normani crying while holding King, who by the way is still sleep he's always been a deep sleeper. Once her sobs silenced I took the opportunity to speak up, "I'm really glad that you're ok Mani." I said a little bit over a whisper. Normani smiled weakly at me, "I'm glad I am too.. I was so cl-" Normani's eyes began to water so she looked up at the ceiling to stop them from falling before continuing to speak "I was so close to dying Lauren.. I.. I was tempted to" a sob escaped from her lips. Seeing her like this breaks my heart, seeing her cry alone just does something to me. She's such a strong woman and watching her break down explaining how she was tempted to slip away breaks my heart, "..but then I finally realized how heartbroken King would be, how heartbroken my friends and family would be.." she trailed off while running her hand through King's dark curls.

"and lastly I finally realized how heartbroken my.." Normani sighed before making eye contact with me "..my girlfriend would be" and with that my heart stopped "oh.. Girlfriend?" I said with a hint of jealousy. Normani's mouth fell open but then she quickly closed it, "mhm she's amazing" she replied with a smirk. I can feel my blood boiling "does King know about your little "girlfriend" hm?" I said using air quotes. For some annoying reason Normani started giggling, "eh I haven't told him anything yet but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't mind.. because he absolutely adores her" well there goes my jealousy skyrocketing again. The woman in the hospital bed giggling again before holding out her hand for me to take "come here."

I folded my arms and pouted, "nope. Go tell your bitch to come here" I said letting my pettiness show. I still walked towards her though but it was in a slow pace, "I don't have a bitch.. I have a girlfriend and I already told her to come here but she's taking too long to get here" I rolled my eyes "lead your student on for a couple months, get into a car crash then reveal that you already have a girlfriend #WasteHerTime2017" I said as I watched her shake her head. "Whoever your substitute teacher is need to get fired" Normani grabbed my shirt with the hand that's not in a cast and yanked me down so we're face to face, "when I get back to work we're going to be working on context clues because you obviously need help" she said before placing her lips on mine. As soon as I was about to kiss her back, the dark skinned beauty pulled away and winced because of her busted lip.

"Lauren be honest with me how fucked up do I look?" I fell silent observing her features once again, "well.." I started listing off the imperfections the car crash gave her "even though you have a black eye, a bruise on your forehead, a few minor cuts on your face, a cast on your right arm, and a busted top lip..you're still the most beautiful and perfect human being I've ever met" Normani smiled shyly "and this is why you're my girlfriend.. you're so sweet" I then leaned down and kissed her hand after smiling back at her.

The door opened, "Lauren get your ass up it's our t-" I turned around at the sound of Ally's voice "hey there sunshine" Normani smiled at Ally's shocked face "Normani?" tears escaped from Ally's brown eyes. The Mexican girl then glared at me, it was right then and there where I knew I fucked up by not telling everyone ASAP. It didn't take long for Ally to scream Normani's name out of pure happiness and run over to her best friend she knew for years and hug her. Suddenly, everyone came barging into her hospital room, while giving her hugs and kisses and talked about how much they're happy she's alive. I step back from their reunion being more than satisfied with my visit. I look back at my girlfriend and as soon as she looked at me I winked and left out the hospital making sure to come back or call her tonight.
