For FOREVER and Ever After

That terrible night

    Arnav was 14 and Khushi was 11. They were in the same school.
Royal couple and Gupta couple had a picnic that day. It was a bright day. But no one knew the dark clouds were soon going to cover their peaceful little world. The children were playing together. Both of them were very intelligent. Arnav was in 10th and Khushi in 7th by then. Khushi like a little butterfly was running here and there. And Armav behind her. Both were immersed their own world.
  Avinash,who was looking at them thoughtfully for quite sometime,turned to Ratna and said"what do you think about them? Don't they both make a beautiful couple? Arnav is already so possessive of Khushi. And Khushi follows whatever Arnav says without question. "
Suraj said"remember when you all had to go to Delhi,how much they both cried. Finally you had to come back early than decided"
Anchal"and they donot even need us when both are together. The unsaid words of Arnav are always understood by Khushi"
Ratna nodded and said "i really wish both of them to get engage now"
Ratna was a woman with strong sixth sense. And she was having a bad feeling like something terrible was going to happen. And they had no time to prevent that. Avinash's faith on his chachi and brother always irked Ratna. And from quite some days she was noticing old workers of the palace were being replaced by new ones. And Manorama had also warned her. But Avinash never listened to her. And she did not want to worry her pregnant friend. So she did not tell anything to Anchal and Suraj.
Ratna called Arnav and Khushi near them. The children came running. Khushi sat in her Ratna ma's lap. And Arnav infront of her. Ratna took out her ring,a royal heirloom and showed it to the children and said"do you both know what is this ring? This ring is given to the queen of Lukhnow from ages. It has been passed to me from ancestors."
Arnav asked"Maa will this ring go to Khushi after you?"
All the elders looked at him surprised. Ratna nodded her head.
Then Arnav took the ring from Ratna and made Khushi wear it. But it was too loose. So Avinash took out the gold chain he was wearing and made the ring a locket. And gave it to Arnav. Then Arnav looked at Anchal and Suraj for their permission. They both nodded their head smilingly. Arnav made Khushi wear the chain.
  A new relation bind both together. They stood up and took blessing of their parents. All blessed them. Khushi hugged Arnav and Arnav pecked her forehead loveingly.
     Same evening all went to Sheesh mahal together. Unknown to the terrible moment ahead,they all were happy.
  At late night Gupta family left Sheesh mahal. Arnav hugged his parents and went to his room. Ratna and Avinash retired to their room too.
    Guptas reached home. But there was a urgent call from a relative,so both Suraj and Anchal left after leaving a sleeping Khushi with their maid.
    Nobody knew what happened. In the next morning Royal couple was found dead in their room.
   Suraj Gupta and Anchal Gupta died in a car accident.
  Within few hours the once smiling children forgot happiness. Their world once beautiful with purity,love and innocence changed into a world full of betrayal,decite,hatred.
  But it was just the beginning .
Or it was end???
