Chapter 23 - Don't Come Any Closer

*Your POV*

     I'm at the park right now with Aphmau and Sly. Eyanne's at practice for their soccer team with Katelyn's brother. I mean I'm not complaining...except for the fact that she's just..creepy. Sort of like Yuno from Mirai Nikki, also the girl from Yandere Simulator.

     "You see, I'm actually looking for advice." Aphmau starts.

     "Yeah?"

     "I like this guy...and I don't know what to do."

     "Yeah?.."

     "He's a Meif'wa.. He's really cool, and kind, and nice."

     "And so? What do you need help with?"

     "He likes someone else..someone who's one of us."

     My eyes widen. "So one of your best friends?"

     "Apparently.." I see some tears being held back in her eyes. Too much of a familiar sight, I think I've seen that kind of face several times in the mirror.

     "Wait..it's not me, right?"

     "No, someone else."

     "Oh, thank Irene."

     "Teony said I should just be a supportive friend so I wouldn't at least lose our friendship. So I did, but it still hurts.."

     "Teony means well. I think you should do that as well."

     Just as I was about to something more, we hear someone yell. "FRISBEE!!"

     "What was that?" I turn to Aphmau who's already running like her life depended on it. What?

     Just then I look back and see a frisbee pass by and tons of werewolves running after it.

     "IT'S A WEREWOLF STAMPEDE!! RUUUUUN!!" I see Garroth and Laurance running before the crowd.

     I tried to run but to no luck. I got caught in the chaos of werewolves and struggling to stay standing and still. I tried to resist until someone bumped into me causing us to fall. "Sorry!" He says as the crowd fades.

     Hoping it was Garroth, I turn to look at the guy and...it's Laurance.

     I quickly push him off, get up, and brush the dust on myself off. I walk away speedily without even leaving him a second glance.

     "(Y/n), wait!!" His voice... I missed it. I missed every second of hearing that voice. I mean I hear it, but it's different when his voice is for me, talking to me, calling me, referring to me..

     No. I don't need this. I walk through the park. Where Aphmau is? I don't give a damn anymore.

     I almost scream as he pins me to the Yggdrassil tree. "Please, (Y/n).." His eyes..his eyes I've not seen look at me for the longest two months.

     But as for my eyes? They're being stung from these unwanted tears. I'm such a crybaby. I've done nothing but cry. "Let me go.." My voice cracks. "I have to go, Laurance." The feeling of saying his name once again out loud... "Please,"

     "No." He looks at me straight in the eye, making me look away. "I'm the one pleading here.. Please, listen to me..."

     I look down.

     "I'm begging here, (Y/n). You don't know how much it took me to actually face you."

     I push him away. "I don't know how much it took you?!" I push him and push him again and again. "You have no idea how much it took me to go through everything you made me go through!"

     Right now, I'm just thankful that this place doesn't have people, or else I would have caused a major commotion.

     "I'm done, Laurance." I was still holding myself back from crying. "Goodbye." And then I walked out. Again.

     My world is ending right now. Everything's just breaking, and I'm drowning in a desert. Why? Why does he do this to me? Two months have already gone and for me he's still this...he's still this attached to me.

     I've already gone away five steps when I feel an embrace. "I'm sorry..." I can feel his face buried on my back. "No more explanations, no more defending myself. I'm just sorry. I miss you.." I feel my face heat up and tears have finally fallen. "I love you.."

     My eyes widen, tears still streaming down. I turn around, grab his arms and face him. "You..what?"

     "I... I love you, (Y/n)." He takes a deep breath, he was crying as well. "I'm in love with you."
