Dipper P.O.V

I am ripped from my slumber as Mabel attacks me with a pillow. She yells with a happy tone, "Wake up Dipper!"

I groan and pull up the covers. I have never been a morning person so I despise getting up. Unfortunately, with the world's most persistent sister, it is impossible to get a decent amount of sleep.

She drags me out of bed by my ankles. I groan when I hit the hardwood floor. It's cold and nowhere close to a pleasant landing. It's certainly not pleasant when you're in pajamas; a loose t-shirt and some boxer shorts.

I sit up from the floor and see that the sun has not even risen from its slumber yet. I groan and cover my eyes with my forearm. I wish that Mabel hadn't woken me up yet.

"C'mon Dipper! You're the one who's leaving!" Mabel yells as she continues to drag me across the room until finally dropping me when she gets to the door.

I sigh and sit up, slamming the door in her face. I lock it for good measure, just so she doesn't walk in while I change. That's more awkward than our sibling hug.

I search through my closet and find my favorite red and black flannel and throw that on. I'm extremely tired so I'm a bit lazy with my actions at the moment. I slip on a pair of jeans and grab my sneakers, unlocking the door when I look a little decent.

As if on cue, Mabel bursts in and hugs me tight. I wheeze from the tightness of her hug and squirm to try and get more oxygen into my pleading lungs, but she does not loosen her grip.

"Mabel! Air!" I wheeze while finally shoving her off.

She laughs and flops down on my bed while I catch my breath. Once I regain some of my composure I cross my arms.

"Are you trying to smother me before I get to leave?" I ask rhetorically, being a bit irritated.

"No, silly! If I was trying to smother you I would have done it while you slept," she says with a happy tone that only makes her reply more creepy.

I don't even say anything after that. I just grab my bag and slowly leave the room. Sometimes Mabel can say some things that are rather disturbing.

"Oh c'mon Dipper! I'm only joking!"

I am already to the kitchen by the time she speaks. I stick a couple of pieces of bread in the toaster and wait. Mabel runs into the kitchen and tries to steal my toast when it pops up, but I don't let her.

"My toast," I say while leaving the kitchen.

She huffs and follows me as I eat as if she's a stray dog begging for food. I don't give her any because it's mine and if she is that hungry she can go and make herself some breakfast.

I sit on the couch and now I am simply waiting to leave. I know it is going to be a long bus ride so I charged my phone overnight to make sure I have enough battery. Other than that I should be okay.

This summer still feels like it's going to be different, but I'm not sure why. I'm just going to have to find out once I get there.
