I am surprised that Dipper has finally stood up to his family. For so long he has been the one giving up what he wants to satisfy their needs. Now he has finally taken a stand to declare his want for me. It makes me feel warm on the inside.

'What is this warmth that I feel? Does it have to do with Dipper? Does he increase my temperature? Or is it from something else? I'm not sure.'

Dipper grabs my hand and drags me back to the Mystery Shack. I glance back and see Ford and Stan glaring at me. Their stares are cold but I am far too warm to feel them.

Dipper drags me back up the attic and sighs as he sits on his bed. He pulls his knees up to his chest and looks down. It becomes clear that he is in some emotional distress.

"I'm glad that you have finally stood up for what you want, Pine Tree. You've been giving up what you want for far too long. You deserve a reward," I tell him, pulling him close to me.

He sighs softly. "I don't feel good about doing it," he mumbles under his breath.

"You should be. The more you stand up for yourself the more respect people will show you. If your uncles truly care they will ignore the fact that I am here with you. They are happy because of sacrifices you were willing to make, now it's time for them to return the favor."

Dipper shrugs and continues to stare at the floor. "It just bothers me that they want to kill you and that they don't trust my judgment. If you were going to kill me then you would have done it by now. You would have let that vampire eat me, or you would have let me fall off the roof, or you would just kill me while I slept. I know that you've changed. You're a better person now," he explains softly.

I hold him close and kiss his neck gently. He smiles and laughs softly.

"I'm going to give you the world one day," I say.

Pine Tree hugs me tight and smiles. "I don't need the world, Bill. The only thing I need is you," he says happily.

I smile and kiss him softly. "You just deserve it."

He laughs softly and lays his head on my chest. I play with his hair gently, making him purr. He seems to enjoy when I do this.

Dipper seems to be happy once again. Conflict with his loved ones often leaves him in a bad mood, but I have managed to raise his emotions to a level of happiness. I am glad that I can make him feel better during his time of distress.

Dipper seems to be asleep at this time. Now I hold him close in a protective manner. I would not want Stan or Ford to try any tricks.

"Bill," Dipper says after a moment, making me realize that he is not asleep.

"Yes?"

"I love you," he says softly, most likely so his uncles will not hear.

I can't help but smile. "I love you too, Pine Tree."
